The marina and beach at Puerto Banus is the best place for people-watching and glamorous boutiques. For a more peaceful experience, settle down at Estrella del Mar beach, to the east of Marbella, or check out the super yachts in the marina. There is so much to do in the area that you are bound to find entertainment for all ages and interests.
There are world-class golf courses nearby, and tennis and horse riding are also very popular. In winter you can even ski in the Sierra Nevada mountains. For a change of scenery from your luxury villa, you can head out to the ancient hill town of Ronda where the attractions include a 14th-century Arabic bathhouse.
For family days out, try the Fuengirola Biopark and the Tivoli World theme park. Pleasure boat trips are always fun, and you can also take a day trip from Marbella to the Rock of Gibraltar on a luxury holiday here.
Although the place is always lively, many bars and restaurants close for the winter, and the main season stretches from May to September.
The climate is mild, with temperatures ranging between around 17°C in winter from December to February, and around 26°C in summer from June to September, with plenty of sunshine and little rain.

If you want Michelin stars, you can try internationally influenced dishes at Messina, the elegant formality of El Lag. While the only restaurant awarded 2 Michelin stars in Marbella is Skina, which serves the best quality Andalusian cuisine in the area.
Marbella is renowned for its sophisticated and fashionable beach bars, and this is where beautiful people hang out both day and night. Try Nikki Beach at Elviria, Ocean Club at Puerto Banus and Sonora Beach where you might catch live music for an evening away from the peace of your luxury villa.
