Veysonnaz Resort Guide

Smaller and quieter than neighbouring Verbier, Veysonnaz is an excellent luxury ski holiday destination for families, with the runs around the town being gentle and uncrowded. But if you want to head off for some of the best free riding and off-piste skiing in the world, high-speed lifts whisk you across the Four Valleys in no time.

If the sound of over 400km of world-class skiing of the 4 Valleys ski area but with a quieter, more family-friendly village appeals, then Veysonnaz could be just what you are looking for.

Veysonnaz is a small, quaint village, complete with rustic luxury ski chalets, a charming church and a smattering of restaurants, just across the piste map from Verbier. Visitors can enjoy the same extensive ski resort but from an altogether quieter base.

Like Verbier, Veysonnaz is in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, in the heart of the Valais region. It has commanding views over the Rhone Valley and has the advantage of easy accessibility. The transfer time from Geneva is about 1h 45mins and it’s a mere 25mins from Sion airport.

Don’t expect the same buzzing nightlife of its glamorous neighbour Verbier, Veysonnaz is a calm, peaceful village, making it a wonderful luxury ski holiday destination for families with children.

When to Visit Veysonnaz
