Luxury villas in Seychelles are simply stunning, set amongst talcum powder beaches, warm turquoise waters and lush tropical vegetation covering the hills behind. Just brochure images right? Actually it’s ‘business as usual’ in the Seychelles.

Seychelles Region Guide

The attractions of its perfect beaches are obvious, but there are also plenty of other attractions to tempt you from your luxury villa in the Seychelles. Snorkelling and scuba diving are incredible here, particularly in the marine parks and natural reserves where the range of fish species is countless, plus boat excursions, jungle walks and nature parks to entice you off your sun lounger.

Basic Information About Seychelles

The Seychelles consists of 115 islands scattered across 400,000 sq. km of the Indian Ocean, just a few degrees off the equator. Some of the islands are granite outcrops jutting out of the sea and some are coral, but they are all known for their velvety soft, white sand beaches and stunning exclusive luxury villas.

There is an inner group of 41 granite islands, some with dramatic rock structures, which make spectacular and beautiful contrasts with the immaculate sand beaches. The islands further out are made entirely of coral and none reach more than about 3 metres above sea level.

The international airport is on the main island of Mahé, and most visitors tend not to stay in its capital Victoria.

The Seychelles’ second largest island is Praslin which sits 22 miles to the northeast of Mahé. Praslin is a bit more relaxed than Mahé and has some spectacular beaches.

There are few ferries linking the smaller islands and travel from Mahé is best done by helicopter when travelling to your luxury villa.

When to Visit Seychelles

March and April are some of the best months to visit, with warm temperatures, no trade winds and little rain. October and November are also popular times to visit, with warm temperatures, less wind and hawksbill turtle hatching season in full swing. January and February are rainy seasons and northwest trade winds are present. Showers can be heavy but rarely last very long. May to September is hot but the southeast trade winds are present, so it is best to choose a luxury villa on the west coast of the islands. The temperature tends to stay around 30°C throughout the year so it’s a good luxury holiday destination all year round if you don’t mind some tropical rains.

What We Love About Seychelles

The Seychelles is on most people’s dream-destination list and for good reason. Teeming coral reefs, crystal clear water and perfect white sand beaches await.

How to Get to Seychelles

Fly into Seychelles International Airport on Mahé Island and then take either a speedboat or helicopter to transfer to your villa.

The Best Places to Eat and Drink in Seychelles

Being surrounded by sea, superb seafood is highlighted in the cuisine of the Seychelles Islands and is a must-try when on a luxury villa holiday in the Seychelles. The creole cooking style of the Seychellois is a wonderful fusion of the multitude of cultural influences on the islands – curries and spices from India, wok cooking from China and gourmet cuisine from France, with a dash of African fire.
