Tucked away in a charming hamlet of Le Fornet, with mountain views and modern rustic interiors, Apartment Arolay 2 is the last word in ‘cosy’.
The property has been carefully designed to appeal to your senses, with rough-hewn woods and stone used throughout, contrasting with tactile soft furnishings, from the velvet sofas to faux-fur throws to envelop yourself in. Comfort and warmth are always top of the agenda.
The open-plan living spaces are at the heart of this apartment. Located on the first floor to make the most of the views, the spacious living area with capacious sofas and a roaring fire makes for a wonderful spot to relax in with family and friends, a good book and a good bottle of wine on snowy afternoons. Nearby is a welcoming dining area, with a pleasingly chunky wood table and bentwood chairs designed to be a backdrop for long, leisurely meals. You’ll have everything you need for cooking up a storm in the well-equipped designer kitchen, too.
The six en-suite bedrooms are each decorated in their own style, but all in neutral palettes and with care given to making them a welcoming retreat at the end of the day.
This duplex apartment’s convenient location, just moments from the lift, means you’ll never waste a second in the mornings when you could be out on the snow. The addition of a private ski room makes getting your ski kit off when you arrive home a breeze, too. The centre of Val d’Isère is a short drive away, where you’re spoiled for choice for shopping and eating.
When you arrive home after a busy day on Val d’Isère’s slopes, we highly recommend taking a drink and a big blanket out onto the balcony to watch the sun go down and the stars begin to twinkle over this most magical of ski villages.
This luxury ski apartment is tucked away in the quiet hamlet of Le Fornet and a short walk from the Le Fornet lift station.
The centre of Val d’Isère is a short drive or bus ride away, with the bus stop just metres from the property.
The nearest airport is Chambery, 2 hours away, and Geneva Airport is 3 hours away.
