What could be more perfect than gazing out at snowy mountains from the warm waters of your private hot tub? This is just one of the highlights at Basalte, a luxury self-catered ski apartment that sits in the centre of Verbier.
Apartment Basalte makes a beautiful first impression. On arrival, you’ll be greeted with a traditional wooden chalet with peaked roofs and sturdy balconies. Inside, there’s a modern and unfussy alpine décor. The apartment has a homely dining area off a well-equipped kitchen, so there’s plenty of space for everyone to gather for meals and drinks, and a roaring fire creates a cosy feel in the living area.
The large windows draw your eye out to the breathtaking views, and there’s no better place to enjoy these than from the south-facing terrace, where you’ll find the private hot tub. Sink into the warm waters, turn on the bubbles and soak up the mesmerising mountain views with an optional glass of fizz in hand. With traditional chalet rooftops peeping out from below and the gondola gliding up above the slopes, there’s a wonderful sense of place.
Each comfortable bedroom has its own en-suite bathroom or shower room. Three of the rooms are doubles, while the fourth bedroom is a snug quad bunk room perfect for children (or big kids wanting to share). Apartment Basalte also comes with the must-haves you’d expect on a luxury ski holiday: a private ski storage room, laundry facilities and underground parking.
Apartment Basalte can be found on a quiet road in the centre of Verbier, just a 2-minute walk to the main Médran ski lift.
With a 24-hour-in-resort driver service included during your stay, you’ll be effortlessly whisked to wherever you’d like to go in Verbier.
Airport transfers take around 45 minutes from Sion airport or 1 hour 45 minutes from Geneva airport.
