Ski-in/ski-out
A modern take on medieval style, a rich colour palette and plenty of home comforts make this luxury ski apartment in Val d’Isere a really cosy bolthole in the snow.
Apartment Bellecombe is part of the exclusive Mademoiselle building, belonging to Les Airelles hotel. Guests of the Apartment are welcome to use Mademoiselle’s private cinema, ski shop, restaurants, bars and kids’ club, not forgetting the Guerlain spa, which has a swimming pool, fitness studio, treatment areas and juice bar. You could easily spend a week here without leaving the building were the slopes not quite so tempting and quite so close.
The apartment looks out onto the Solaise mountain and Mademoiselle has ski-in/ski-out access so you’ll never waste a moment getting to the snow when you could be right there in the thick of it.
And when your day is done, whether you’ve been out on the slopes, taking part in activities such as ice-climbing, dog-sledding or helicopter rides, or simply exploring Val d’Isere, Bellecombe is a wonderfully cosy place to come home to.
Your butler will have everything ready for you, with drinks ready to go and the fire already roaring when you get back. Gather in the comfortable and quiet wood-clad dining area for gourmet meals to remember, or lounge around the fire together on capacious sofas, with bubbly and canapes, enjoying that fabulous view.
Before you retire to luxury bedrooms each with spa-style en-suites and bathtubs or hammam showers, take a moment out on Bellecombe’s terraces with a drink and a blanket to warm you as you take in the majesty of the mountain at night.
Apartment Bellecombe is part of Les Airelles’ Mademoiselle hotel, the only five-star hotel in the area that allows guests to ski right up to the front door.
Mademoiselle is perfectly positioned for keen skiers who wake up itching to explore the mountain as the two central ski lifts, the Olympique and TC 10 in Solaise are located right by the hotel.
The nearest airport is Chambery which is just under 2 hours drive away. Both Geneva and Lyon are approximately 3 hours away.

Food and drink are an important part of any stay at Apartment Bellecombe and you can be assured of being kept well fed and watered at all times.
Before you head out for your day’s skiing, enjoy a breakfast buffet in Les Airelles’ restaurant with plenty of good coffee to get you going and both hearty and lighter breakfast options.
There are, in fact, three restaurants on site. For lunch, we recommend La Terrasse, where you can sit outdoors and enjoy the fabulous views, or JOIA is lovely for a light lunch or mid morning coffee.
In the evenings, you’re welcome to enjoy dinner in your apartment or sample the traditional Savoyard menu at Airelles’ restaurant, Le Carnotzet. There’s also a stunning on-site bar for pre- or post-dinner drinks.
And of course you have the whole of Val d’Isere’s wonderful dining scene to enjoy. We particularly like La Casserole, a must for fondue and raclette fans, and La Grande Ourse, right next door to Mademoiselle, is always a treat, too.

Additional staff such as nannies and babysitters can be arranged on request.
Younger guests are well looked after here, because the staff know that happy, busy children makes for relaxed parents.
At the Children’s Kingdom, a kids’ club themed along magical Merlin the wizard lines with murals of giant mushrooms and magic castles, there’s always something to do. Older ones will enjoy the arcade games and computer consoles and for younger ones, there are stacks of wooden toys and engaging games to entertain them after ski school. The club even puts on a range of workshops to keep little hands busy with activities including art and cookery.
Your butler can also help with arranging family activities such as magic lessons and dog sledding if you fancy something a little different from skiing one day. And for afternoons when they just want to chill out, Mademoiselle has its own private cinema for quiet movie afternoons and a spa where tweens and teens can enjoy specially designed experiences for younger people, such as the Winter Bonding treatment, where they can be pampered alongside their parents.
The real treat for kids here, however, must be the wonderful children’s pool, which was designed by the set designers for the Harry Potter films to look like the Lascaux caves. It’s absolutely magical and kids of all ages (and some big kids too) will love spending long lazy afternoons splashing here.
