This stunning, snowy bolthole is the perfect winter escape for a group of family or friends. Apartment Chartreuse in Val d’Isere has been beautifully designed to offer everyone what they’re looking for from their luxury ski holiday.
The spacious open-plan living area, with its long sofas, stacks of cushions and sheepskins, and a roaring fire at its heart, is the ideal place to gather together in the early evening to share a bottle of bubbles and swap stories about all the adventures you’ve had that day. Floor-to-ceiling windows and a double-height ceiling give the light, bright room a cathedral quality, and the space enjoys panoramic mountain views.
Tucked behind the stairs is a cosy TV snug where you can catch a film or leave the kids to enjoy cartoons while the grown-ups catch up.
Adjacent is the laid-back dining room with table and chairs to seat eight, beneath a statement chandelier. It’s a great spot both for communal breakfasts and leisurely dinners. The well-equipped kitchen nearby has a bar for you to sit at and chat to whoever is cooking that evening.
Each of the en-suite bedrooms has access to one of the wraparound balconies, where you can take your coffee in the mornings, enjoying the mountain air before you get ready for a day on the slopes.
Throughout the apartment, rustic woods, rough stones and textural soft furnishings bring a really cosy atmosphere that makes this luxury ski chalet a wonderful place to snuggle up in as the snow falls outside.
Apartment Chartreuse is nestled just behind the historic centre in Val d’Isere, only a few minutes’ walk to the Solaise lift and the centre of town with all its boutiques, bars and restaurants.
With a piste running behind the apartment, it is possible to ski back to the property in good snow conditions.
The nearest airports are Chambery which is 2 hours away and Geneva, approximately 3 hours drive.
