Description

If you like your luxury ski chalets with just a little more ‘wow’ to them, Casa Leopardo is certain to tick all your style boxes. This colourful and contemporary property just outside St Moritz, and architect-designed by one of Frank Lloyd Wright’s own apprentices, never fails to surprise and delight.

Exquisitely patterned wallpapers, dark jewel colours, designer lighting and, of course, the odd leopard here and there, give this Swiss ski chalet the air of a boutique hotel, and cosy touches like rugs and throws keep things nice and cosy.

The living spaces on the first floor include a bar, seating area with huge stone fireplace, and a chic dining space with statement pendant light above to illuminate intimate evening meals. Floor-to-ceiling windows show off the outstanding mountain views beyond Casa Leopardo’s stylish four walls. A breakfast area and a sleek kitchen, packed with all the gadgetry you could wish for occupy the ground floor.

The surprises keep coming in the individually designed bedrooms, including bouji office space, dressing area and even a tiny library. Each provides a lovely retreat away from the main living rooms if you want to just curl up with a book and a glass of wine and enjoy the silence for a while.

And for anyone that would particularly appreciate a little space to themselves, the separate apartment is a dreamy space for a couple or a small family to share, with bedroom, dining space and fully-equipped kitchenette, as well as its own cosy living room.

But if you think you’ll find it hard to step outside Casa Leopardo’s beautiful interiors, fear not. Surrounded by nature and blankets of thick snow, the great outdoors looks super tempting, and because you can ski straight out from your front door, you can guarantee you’ll be the first to make tracks on the powder each morning.
