Built by the Medici family in the 1500s, this luxury villa has a fascinating heritage and rich time-honoured decor. Bedrooms at Castello de’ Medici are traditional in style, with many featuring exposed beams and dark wooden sleigh beds. Bag the master suite on the first floor for a balcony with sweeping views or choose to sleep up in the tower, where you’ll have access to the incredible tower-top terrace.

Castello de’ Medici has a striking hilltop spot overlooking the sea in Tuscany’s beautiful Punta Ala region and it’s just a 5 minutes walk to the pebble beach.
It’s a 10-minute walk to the marina, where you’ll find some lovely places to eat and drink, and a five-minute drive to the beach clubs.
The closest airport is Pisa, around 1 hour 30 minutes away.
