Hidden away in a quiet corner of Courchevel sits Chalet 1992. Part of the exclusive Les Airelles Hotel, this luxury ski chalet offers that perfect combination of quiet privacy and lots of convenience.
The hotel has several wonderful restaurants, a bar and a cigar lounge, all at your disposal and staff will be only too pleased to help in any way they can. But if you prefer to just hole up with good friends or family for a week and explore all that Courchevel has to offer, you’ve also come to the right place.
Chalet 1992’s location, close to some of Europe’s best skiing, makes it a destination property for snow bunnies, and a well-organised ski room makes getting to and from the slopes a cinch. It’s also close enough to central Courchevel to really make the most of the bars, restaurants and partying that the town is famous for.
But for those of us that also value coming home after a tiring day on the slopes and completely relaxing, there’s plenty of that, too. Chalet 1992 has its own spa with everything you need to soothe and calm body and soul, including a sauna, Hammam, Iyashi dome as well as fitness suite and treatment room. A private swimming pool, with relaxation areas and beds nearby and a bar just steps from the water, is the perfect place to chill out on chilly afternoons. There’s also a Jacuzzi cave to relax in – Champagne and a good book recommended.
This is a great house for a celebration or gathering, with a total of three living spaces; some quiet areas with capacious sofas and fireplaces, ideal for catching up with your group on all the events of the day, others sociable spaces for TV watching and lounging. There’s also a huge dining space, with a refectory table and chandeliers overhead, where you’ll enjoy long meals, seemingly bottomless bottles of wine and good conversation long into the night.
There’s plenty to keep everyone in your party entertained, too, from the kids’ zone with arcade games in the playroom and a woodland-style kids’ den, to the adult games room complete with library, snooker and bar. And don’t forget to make time for a special movie night in the private cinema room during your stay, too.
With its European manor-house style, light woods and neutral palette, it’s hard not to relax at Chalet 1992. And after a day of mountain air, you’ll find when night falls you’ll slip into luxury sheets and comfy beds and be asleep within moments.
