A beautiful bolthole in the snow, Chalet Abade is a brand new luxury ski chalet in Val d’Isere that’s ideal for sharing with a group of family or friends. Designed in a natural, rustic style, but with a modern twist, and plenty of home comforts, you’ll relax as soon as you walk through the front door.
A five-minute drive from the centre of Val d’Isere, Chalet Abade has the benefit of being close to all the shops, bars and restaurants but nestled in a slightly quieter area so you can enjoy peaceful evenings in the privacy of your chalet, when you feel like it. Located right by Piste M, its ski-in/ski-out location is super convenient, too.
The interior is designed for plenty of socialising, with a spacious living area under vaulted ceilings, with floor-to-ceiling windows that let the light flood in as well as providing a picture-postcard view of the mountains. Back-to-back sofas face both the TV and the roaring fire, depending on your mood, and a huge statement chandelier hangs right in the middle, bringing a touch of country house style to the room.
When you return from the slopes, we recommend you throw on your robes and slippers and head straight for the outdoor hot tub or Hammam to relax. And if you’ve developed any aching muscles on the mountain, an hour in the private massage room with a masseur will soon sort that out.
Evenings are spent relaxing around the wood-burning fireplace with Champagne and canapés and then enjoying a delicious meal, prepared by your chef in the intimate dining room. And at the end of the night, we can’t think of a better way to round off the day than with digestifs on the chalet’s balconies, looking out at the views. If the mountain air and a sticky nightcap don’t send you straight to the land of nod, then the cosy bedrooms with spa style en-suites and comfy beds piled high with pillows and throws surely will. Sweet dreams!
Located in La Legettaz area of Val d’Isere, Chalet Abade is conveniently positioned right by Piste M with ski-in/ski-out access, so you’ll never waste a moment getting to the slopes.
Town centre and the Solaise ski lift are approximately 5 minutes drive away, making Chalet Abade ideally situated for exploring Val d’Isère on and off the slopes.
The nearest airport is Chambery which is just under 2 hours drive away. Both Geneva and Lyon are approximately 3 hours away.

As you arrive at Chalet Abade, the staff set the right tone for the week with a Champagne reception to welcome you, and you can be sure of being well fed and watered during your stay.
Breakfast is offered each morning, so you’ll leave for the slopes set fair for a day of activity. Once you tire of the snow, your driver will whisk you back to the chalet to enjoy afternoon tea.
On six evenings, Champagne and canapés are served before dinner, followed by a three-course dinner, each course introduced by your chef, and then a locally inspired cheeseboard, coffees and digestifs. To accompany this delicious food, you have a choice of hand-picked house wines, soft drinks, beers and 3 bottles of house spirits.
For little ones, your chef will be happy to prepare an earlier children’s tea at a time to suit them.
The staff will be pleased to help you with restaurant bookings for the chef’s night off. We particularly love La Luge at Hotel Le Blizzard and the ever-cosy La Table De L’Ours.

There’s lots to keep them busy at Chalet Abade when they aren’t at ski school, including Apple TV and Satellite and a private cinema room where they can snuggle up with popcorn and a movie after a morning out in the snow. With a dedicated kids’ tea laid on in the early evening on five nights of the week, you can put them to bed and then enjoy a quieter, adult meal in the evenings.
The property is well laid out for those travelling with children, with a quad bunk room where they can all bunk in together as well as two bedrooms that can be configured as twins for extra flexibility. Cots and highchairs can be provided on request.
