With its dark walls, silhouetted against the snow, Black Pearl truly lives up to its name. It’s a gem of a find, dotted among other luxury ski chalets, but with a style all its own.
Inside, traditional chalet style combines with eastern influences to create a dark and sophisticated atmosphere that’s impossible not to relax in.
Lounge on any of the capacious sofas and armchairs, by roaring fires, or from under piles of blankets and throws. Catch up with friends about all the events of the day, or simply get lost in a good book, with a good bottle of wine by your side.
At mealtimes, the modern dining table, underneath a huge, twinkling chandelier, provides a wonderful backdrop for long, leisurely meals. Enjoy seasonal and local food and fine wines, matched with good conversation long into the night.
After you return from the slopes each day and fill up on afternoon tea, you’ll have a good few hours for some downtime before dinner. Relax in the piano lounge or games room, head to the private cinema room for a movie, or throw on your dressing gown and pad down to the private spa, with pool, Jacuzzi, sauna, Hammam, massage room and state-of-the-art gym.
After a gourmet dinner cooked by your private chef, enjoy nightcaps on the terrace, and then retire to luxury en-suite bedrooms. The two master bedrooms (each with their own open fireplace for a rustic, winter wonderland feel) are interconnected, with walk-in wardrobes and Jacuzzis. Then there are two suites, each with a lounge area, and four further bedrooms. All the bedrooms have TVs, DVD players, mini bars and Wifi as standard, making each bedroom its own boutique bolthole in the snow.
This luxury ski chalet in Courchevel 1850 is set on Rue du Jardin Alpin, in the exclusive Bellecote area of the town. It’s literally steps from the slopes (making it almost ski-in/ski-out), perched right beside the Les Airelle and Cheval Blanc hotels.
Airport transfer from Geneva Airport to Courchevel generally takes around 2 and a half hours.

Wake to the aroma of breakfast being prepared and then tuck in to keep your energy levels up while on the slopes. Return to hot drinks and snacks ready and waiting for you when you come in from the snow. And then relax in the evenings, take a drink at the bar, and watch your private chef at work, preparing a gastronomic feast for you all.
Alternatively, if you feel up to a night out, make the most of the fabulous eateries in Courchevel itself. The staff will be pleased to help with booking tables for your party. We particularly like La Cave des Lys for its cosy atmosphere and the two-Michelin-starred Le Chabichou.
A private chef, butler and other staff come as standard at Black Pearl and will be on hand to keep you well fed and watered throughout your stay.

Black Pearl is a luxury family friendly ski chalet with plenty for younger visitors of all ages. It’s in a wonderful location, just steps from the slopes, which makes it a great choice for families who don’t want to spend too long getting to the snow.
On chilly afternoons after ski school, there lots to do at Black Pearl to keep little ones amused. A piano is available for any budding Mozarts. There’s also a games room to keep them busy, a private pool in the spa area and a cinema room where they can catch a movie matinee over popcorn. There’s even a dedicated playroom for kids, stocked with toys, games and tents, with plush carpets, and sofas and beanbags for lounging.
