Once a beautiful old farmhouse, Chalet Bonami has been carefully and thoughtfully renovated to become a luxury ski chalet for up to 14 people.
A combination of the old – rustic woods, Savoyard style and classic design – are combined with the contemporary – floor-to-ceiling glass, top-of-the-range gadgetry and urban artwork. The main living spaces in this luxury ski chalet have been designed with sociable gatherings in mind, with huge, squashy sofas gathered around a roaring fire, and leather deckchair-style seating from where you can take in the amazing views. There are two TV areas and plenty more quiet corners in which to curl up with a book, should you need a little time to yourself.
A stylish and modern dining area for 10 is the ideal backdrop for a gourmet meal, and there’s a table nearby for four, too, so the kids can have their very own dinner parties. Don’t forget to take time to explore the wonderful cellar at some point. It’s stocked with some very special wines, selected specially for the chalet. You’re sure to find a bottle or five to accompany dinner.
On snowy afternoons, once you’ve come in from the cold and kicked off your ski gear, there’s plenty to keep you entertained at Chalet Bonami: relax in the cinema room with a movie, hold an XBox championship, or wrap up warm and sit out on the balcony with a drink and a book while the children are busy in the playroom on the mezzanine level.
The spa area, with sauna and Hammam, as well as an outdoor Jacuzzi, is the ideal spot in which to relax and feel pampered after an energetic morning on the slopes. For those still in need of burning off any left over energy, there’s also a small private gym.
At the end of each adventure-filled day here in Chamonix, we recommend a moment to yourself out on the balcony under the stars to breathe in the mountain air, before you retire to the boutique-style bedrooms, each designed to exude a calm, pared-back feel and guaranteed to bring you sweet dreams.
This luxury ski chalet is located in one of Chamonix’s most exclusive areas. It’s just half a kilometre from the Flégère cable car and the slopes. The centre of Chamonix, with all its shops, bars and boutiques is just 3km away.
The nearest airport is Geneva which is just over an hour’s drive.

You can be catered for exactly how you like at Chalet Bonami. The property is extremely well equipped for self-catering. The kitchen (designed by a top French chef) boasts top-of-the-range equipment from Smeg, KitchenAid and Miele, including steam oven, multi-cooker and microwave, as well as food processor, blender, coffee bean machine and a fondue and raclette maker. Any amateur chefs will enjoy making the most of local ingredients and cooking up a storm.
The chalet has a concierge who will be happy to help with grocery orders or indeed booking a chef, either for a special occasion or for your entire week.
An elegant dining space provides somewhere for everyone to gather and chat in the evenings over good food and excellent wines from the well stocked wine cellar.
Should you prefer to make the most of Chamonix’s wonderful restaurant scene, we love stepping back in time into the cosy and traditional La Caleche or the uber contemporary Le Comptoir des Alpes. Both are in the centre of town and are guaranteed to be a meal to remember.
