The property has been designed to maximise the panoramic views of the Dolomites that surround it, and to offer something at every time of year. In summer, you’ll enjoy exploring the lakes and mountains that surround the chalet, and in winter, you’ll make the most of what is regularly voted one of Europe’s best ski resorts.

This luxury ski chalet has a stylish and atmospheric aesthetic. At its heart is a spacious living room with TV, feature fireplace and huge, L-shaped sofa where you and your friends can relax after you return from the slopes. The dining room features a solid wood table that’s a work of art in itself, and there’s also a bar corner and wine cellar to add to the country manor house feel.

Wellbeing is a key factor in the design of Chalet Carolina, too. One of the highlights of the property, is the outdoor hot tub with views of the mountains. There’s also an outdoor sauna where you can soothe any aching limbs, post ski. Additionally, you can wrap up in a cosy blanket, with a drink in hand, and watch the twinkling stars around one of the several fire pits.

If feeling good for you is all about keeping fit, you’ll love the mini gym, too, with exercise bike, treadmill, bench and free weights area.

Finish each day by falling into super-comfy beds, beneath thick duvets and soft sheets in the five luxe bedrooms, knowing that when you throw open the curtains in the morning, you’ll be greeted by that same awesome mountain view.

Location

This luxury ski chalet in Val Gardena is tucked away in a peaceful location, surrounded by trees and greenery in the exclusive enclave of Selva di Val Gardena.

The area is part of the Dolomiti Superski, which has access to more than 1,200km of ski slopes. The Alpe di Siusi, Europe’s largest plateau, and the Marmolads glacier are both easily accessible too.

The nearest skibus-station and the ski-lift for younger kids and beginners is located directly underneath the chalet.  The nearest cable car is Col Raiser which is 600 meters from the chalet.  This is connected to the Sellaronda-area, towards either Ortisei, by getting on the Seceda mountain, or towards Selva, by taking the underground train and getting to the cable car of the Saslong mountain.

The nearest airport is Bolzano/Bozen, 45 minutes’ drive away. Innsbruck is 1 hour 30 minutes away, Verona 2 hours 15 minutes away, and both Salzburg and Monaco airports are 3 hours 30 minutes away.

Eating

Chalet Carolina is a luxury self-catered chalet in the Dolomites where you can enjoy experimenting with South Tyrolean dishes such as dumplings with goulash and apple fritters, either in any of Selva di Val Gardena’s wonderful restaurants, or in your own chalet, using ingredients picked up locally.

Chalet Carolina has three fully equipped kitchens, one on each floor, with the largest located on the lower floor along with the dining room. This characterful area in the basement, with a stunning solid wood table and atmospheric lighting provides a beautiful setting for memorable meals with family and friends.
