Du Vallon really is something special. The traditional building offers spacious living accommodation that means you and your family or friends can enjoy each other’s company without feeling on top of one another.
From the large balconies with seating areas to enjoy the view, to the private steam room, to the comfy entertainment room complete with DVD library, it’s a wonderful space to both create shared memories and do your own thing, too.
The double-height lounge provides a gloriously light area for you to gather in for drinks or relax in over afternoon tea and cakes, while admiring the sublime view. Rustic wood furniture and contemporary soft furnishings make this a really laid-back room to relax in, and being set up a little higher than the town gives it a peaceful atmosphere, too.
However, the beauty of this location is that although it feels quiet in the chalet you are only really moments away from the centre of the village and two minutes’ walk from the chairlift.
Off-piste, there is everything you could possibly wish for to fill your time at the chalet – have a group film night in the entertainment room, book yourself a massage and enjoy the steam room, or simply get out on those beautiful balconies and take in the majestic mountain views over a glass of something bubbly.
Location
Situated right in the heart of Meribel Village, Chalet du Vallon is just a short a 2 minute walk to the centre of the village or a 5 minute chauffeured drive to the centre of Meribel (main resort).
The nearest airports are Chambery (1h 15m) and Lyon (1h 55m) whilst Grenoble and Geneva are both approximately 2 hours drive away.

Dining
You’ll enjoy a wonderful array of food at Chalet du Vallon – the best ingredients, locally sourced wherever possible.
Your chef will be in touch before departure to ensure they know all of your party’s likes and dislikes and make a note of any specific requests. All the chefs are experts at putting together delicious menus incorporating Best of British favourites and French specialities.
In the mornings, a delicious breakfast spread is served, with hot options available on five mornings. Then on returning from your day on the slopes, you’ll find tea and homemade cakes waiting for you.
On five evenings, canapés and a four-course meal are served along with carefully selected house wines. Your chef will also be delighted to arrange a high tea for the younger members of your group should you wish.
Please note that the staff have two days off a week when dinner and canapés will not be served and your host will be delighted to make recommendations or bookings for local restaurants.

Kids
Chalet Du Vallon is a family friendly property and offers plenty of space for children to roam about and explore.
The chalet’s central location also make this an ideal base for families with children, being a short walk into the village centre and 2 minutes walk to the Golf chairlift. There is also a complimentary shuttle service to Meribel Centre in the morning for ski schools, so getting little ones to lessons will be a doddle.
At the end of a long day and when it’s time to relax, junior guests can hunker down in the separate TV room for a movie night whilst the adults enjoy some grown-up time.
If you’re bringing a baby, highchairs, buggies and other baby equipment can all be provided to allow you to travel that bit lighter. Childcare can also be organised on request so you can enjoy a bit of child-free time to yourselves for skiing or an evening out.
