A roaring fire and comfy seating in the living area invite you to relax with family and friends and share your day’s adventures. Traditional designs and natural materials make this a real home from home, while the addition of top-of-the-range gadgetry are the icing on the cake. Flatscreen TVs, streaming channels, music docks and Wifi throughout mean you’re never short of entertainment.

Adjacent to the living space is an intimate and welcoming dining area where you’ll enjoy long, leisurely meals, and a show kitchen where you can sit with a glass of wine and watch your private chef at work.

There’s plenty of the great outdoors to enjoy, too. The living room has access to a spacious balcony terrace where there’s an al fresco seating area, and the corridor on the ground floor opens onto the Winter Terrace, where the outdoor sauna and fire pit create a relaxing space in which to soothe both body and soul while enjoying the mountain air.

To give everyone a bit of time to themselves, each of the bedrooms has been beautifully designed to act as its own little bolthole. The master suite has a bathtub and plenty of space in which to relax, but each of the remaining four en-suite bedrooms is stocked with luxury beauty products, towels and gowns and its own smart TV.

Location

Chalet Frieda is a luxury ski chalet in St Anton, located in the Nasserein area. It’s 10 minutes’ walk to the centre of St Anton, while the Nasserein lift station and ski school are just two minutes’ walk from the front door.

If you want to explore further afield on skis, the Gampen, Galzig and Rendal lift stations are also all within 10 minutes of the property.

The closest airports are Innsbruck, an hour away, and Zurich, 2 hours away.

Eating

Good food and fine wines are a key part of any stay at Chalet Frieda.

You’ll start each day on the right foot with a delicious breakfast spread: a continental buffet including fresh fruit, mueslis, pastries and cured meats and cheeses, as well as cooked options. Choose from traditional full English breakfasts or other hot options such as huevos rancheros or eggs Benedict.

When you return from the slopes, you’ll find afternoon tea ready and waiting for you – hot drinks to warm you through, homemade cakes, biscuits or protein bars and even a selection of savoury treats if you prefer, from soup and crusty rolls to mezze boards.

On five nights of the week, your chef will serve canapés followed by a four-course meal. You’ll be able to guide your chef in the sort of dishes you would like served, and any dietary requirements will be taken into account.

Throughout your stay, the free mini bar is topped up daily.

The chalet has a good collection of toys and games to keep them busy as well as a huge TV screen with Apple TV and Netflix for a cinema-style experience.

There’s plenty of open-plan space in which to play, and also a large outdoor terrace and private gardens where they can play in the snow and enjoy the mountain air.

To make parents’ lives easier, highchairs, booster seats, cots and car seats are all available on request, and nannies and babysitters can be booked if needed.
