In the shadow of Mont Blanc stands Chalet Hibou, a luxury ski chalet in Chamonix that seamlessly blends traditional good looks with contemporary style. The wooden building is typically Alpine but, once inside, Chalet Hibou, Chamonix is all about the contemporary comforts and colourful, modern style.
In the main living space, huge floor-to-ceiling windows allow the light to flood into this south-facing property and frame the amazing views of the Mont Blanc range from Chalet Hibou, Chamonix. The mountains feel ever-present here – it’s hard to tear your gaze away – and they provide an ever-changing backdrop through the day, whether you’re breakfasting on the terrace, lounging on the sofas or gathered around the dining table. This whole open-plan area is a really sociable space to enjoy, warmed by a roaring fire in winter, and opening out onto the terrace in summer. Here you’ll also find outdoor living and dining spaces as well as a barbecue to allow you to make the most of the space in good weather.
But there are plenty of places to escape to for some quiet as well, from the snug TV room upstairs, to the cosy bar area where you can relax with a book and a drink. And, of course, when you return from the mountain each afternoon, the spa is the perfect spot to restore body and soul, soothing any aches in the sauna and enjoying a relaxing soak in the swimming pool with its outstanding mountain views, while allowing yourself to be gently pummelled by the jet streams.
Each of the bedrooms is styled with your total relaxation in mind, with luxury bed linens as well as fluffy robes, towels and slippers for a bit of boutique hotel luxury. Designed to offer a quiet, calm feel, you’ll find you relax as soon as you close the door each evening and fall into bed.
This luxury ski chalet in Chamonix is close to all the action. It’s located in the prestigious Le Moussoux area of Chamonix, just 700 metres from the Le Brevent ski lifts and a 10-minute stroll from the centre of town, with all its boutique shops, bars and restaurants.
The nearest airport is at Geneva, an hour away. Chamonix also has its own heliport.
