This luxury ski chalet in Megeve is a property of two halves, where old and new, indoor and out meet seamlessly and complement each other perfectly.
At first glance, you’d assume this newly renovated chalet was as typically Alpine as Heidi and raclette, with its rich woods and stone and spectacular mountain views. But modern artworks and plenty of up-to-the-minute tech, from super cinema room to tablet-controlled TVs and sound systems that reach every corner, indoors and out, bring the chalet’s traditional looks right up to date.
Chalet Lamartine is a great spot for a large group to spend time together, giving everyone plenty of space to themselves (the luxe bedrooms are all inviting and well-equipped) as well as lots of open-plan space for parties or quieter gatherings. The large, light living space is just lovely to come home to after an energetic day on the mountain, with its central roaring fire and great views.
The outside spaces give you what feels like a whole extra room in summer time, with the hot tub and outdoor swimming pool* where you can while away afternoons in the mountain sunshine. While in winter, there’s nowhere nicer to watch the sun go down, sitting under a blanket on the terraces, with a few favourite tunes and a glass or three of bubbly. And if that still sounds a little too chilly for your liking, inside there’s a fitness studio and cinema room, where you can spend a few hours in the late afternoon between your ski and your evening out.
In fact, one of the best things about a luxury ski holiday at Chalet Lamartine is that its location puts you right on top of both the slopes and the town centre. So you never waste a moment getting to where you want to be, whether that’s first out on the powder in the morning, or first to the bar in the evening. And when all you want to do at the end of a long day is kick off your shoes and warm your toes in front of the fire, your front door is only ever a matter of minutes away.
* Please be advised that the outdoor swimming pool is only available during summer.

Chalet Lamartine is self-catered, which might suit a group who prefer a low-key approach rather than dressing up for dinner. Any budding amateur chefs will enjoy the state-of-the-art kitchen, which is open-plan to the living area, allowing you to socialise as you cook.
And of course, this arrangement allows you to make the most of Megeve’s excellent restaurants and bars. We particularly like the three-Michelin-starred Flocons de Sels as well as its bistro-style offshoot, Flocons Village. Also not to be missed are the fabulous views from Face au Mont Blanc, at the top of the Jaillet gondola.
Alternatively, the services of a private chef can be arranged additionally if you’d like to enjoy expertly prepared dinners for the duration your luxury ski holiday.

Two of the bedrooms can be arranged as twin rooms and all the bedrooms are equipped with huge TVs, perfect for watching a film at bedtime.
