As freestanding chalets go, Lapin Blanc is one of the finest in Méribel. Situated at the bottom of the Georges Mauduit piste, its location alone is worth every penny, with fabulous views of the mountains, ski-in/ski-out access and an easy walk to the village.
Spread across 4 floors and sleeping up to 14 adults and 1 child, Chalet Lapin Blanc is a sprawling, decadent space. The enormous living area is made even more impressive by its double height, owing to the grand mezzanine that curves around the top of the property. A large stone and glass fireplace is marooned in the middle for maximum effect, while daylight streams in through the huge picture windows that lead onto a south-facing terrace. Wow-factor is not in short supply here.
Crafted from local wood and stone for the classic rustic chalet style, the property also oozes contemporary chic, with striking dark slate bathrooms and an elegant combination of colour and texture in the soft furnishings.
With ample sofas to plunge into, and gorgeous king-size bedrooms for afternoon snoozes, you could become very lazy here. But with an outdoor hot tub to dip into, a sauna and cinema/games room, you won’t be on the sofa for too long.
Chalet Lapin Blanc is located in Méribel, on the side of the Georges Mauduit piste at the end of a private road opposite La Chaudanne, just seconds from the main lift centre and ski school meeting points. This ski-in/ski-out chalet is also just a short walk from the centre of Méribel.
The nearest airports are Chambery which is 1h 15m away, Lyon 1h 55m and Geneva, a 2h 10m drive away.

With such a great living area to relax in, dining here is a pleasure – especially when you have a private chef on hand to prepare amazing food all week.
Each day starts with a huge and varied breakfast to set you up for skiing; and when you come home you’ll find a freshly prepared afternoon tea waiting for you.
On five nights during your stay, the evening will start with Champagne and canapés – on the balcony if the weather is clement, or served around the roaring fire. This will be swiftly followed by a gourmet 4-course feast, tailored to your group and any allergies or dietary requirements will be taken into consideration.
A family-style dinner is offered one evening, giving you a more relaxed dining experience and try a traditional Savoyard dish such as fondue or raclette, or enjoy a home-cooked comfort food. You’ll then have one evening to sample the local restaurants and your chalet host will be more than happy to make recommendations and bookings.
If you’re on holiday with children, the chef will happily prepare high tea, or serve up a family meal – it’s up to you. Very little ones can also be catered for, and any special dietary requirements too.

With so much space to play in, children will love Lapin Blanc. The living area is ideal for them to spread out in and make their own, meanwhile, the cinema/games room can double as a playroom when it’s not being used as a pre-bedtime chill-out den.
As the bedrooms are very spacious, and can be used either as twins or doubles, it’s a very flexible chalet depending on the number of children in the party – it can work for whatever configuration you like, with room for cots too.
Under supervision, the real icing on the cake is the outdoor hot tub, which will no doubt excite kids of every age, and bring out the big kid in every adult, too.
Professional childcare can be arranged on request and on the chef’s night off, there is a complimentary babysitting service available until 11pm if you wish to head into town without little ones you can, safe in they knowledge that they are being well looked after.
Cots and highchairs are also available on request.
