When you put style at the heart of a project the outcome is always going to be impressive. The team behind Chalet Lena went one better: they started with a fabulous location, ambitious ideas and chefs, nannies, designers and builders all with top credentials. Add then they insisted that style should be a priority – and it shows.
Brand new for 2019/20 season, this luxury ski chalet is thoughtfully conceived and executed; it really shows in every chair, pillowcase and kitchen utenstil. All the fixtures and fittings, furnishings and fabrics are chosen to exude a feeling of total luxury.
But it isn’t all in the detail. They’ve really gone big on the things that matter, too. The swimming pool is both indoor and outdoor, there are not one but two different types of sauna in the fabulous wellness area. Whether you’re a bookworm or a film buff you’ll find somewhere perfect for you to curl up and relax (try the library or the entertainment room).
The main living areas are open-plan to make the them really sociable. Capacious sofas and armchairs and a feature fireplace add the requisite amount of ‘cosy’ and the dining area is designed with gatherings of good friends in mind. We think you’ll sit at that table, enjoying your private chef’s fine food and some fabulous wines until very late into the evening.
Nothing is too much trouble for the experienced staff here. You’ll never have an empty glass long and whatever your whim, from booking tables to seeing to ski school, the concierge service will have it sorted in seconds.
At the day’s end there is simply nowhere nicer to bed down than in the luxe en-suite bedrooms with robes and slippers, beautiful bath products and only the thickest, loveliest bed linens to see you off into a deep and peaceful sleep. Get to bed early… There’s much fun to be had in the morning, and some of Europe’s best powder right on your doorstep.
Chalet Lena is set in the quiet, upmarket Nasserein area of St Anton, so you’ll be just a few minutes’ chauffered drive from the Nassereinbahn lift station.
The best thing about the location here is the proximity to the snow. You can be up in Gampen via the Nasserein lifts after a swift roll out of bed in the morning, but if you want to explore further afield there’s a shuttle service into St Anton from where the whole Ski Arlberg area and the resorts of Lech and Zurs are there to be explored.
The nearest airports are Innsbruck approx. 1hr 15mins away and Zurich approx. 2hrs 30 mins away.

Good food and drink are a key part of the experience here at Chalet Lena. A private chef is with you all week to prepare a continental and cooked breakfast each morning to set you all up for a day on the snow.
When you return from skiing, you’ll find afternoon tea and cakes ready and waiting for you to warm you through and give you an energy boost for the afternoon’s activities.
By the time you’ve whiled away the afternoon relaxing in the spa or enjoying some quiet time in the library it will be almost time for Champagne and canapés as you catch up with the rest of your party by the fire. Meanwhile, your chef will be preparing a three-course dinner and cheeseboard with a selection of house wines. House beers, spirits and soft drinks are also on tap, of course.
On your chef’s day off there is a plethora of cafes and restaurants in which to take afternoon tea, apres ski and your evening meal.

There’s so much space for children to play at Chalet Lena, which is designed with open-plan living in mind. Kids of all ages are sure to enjoy splashing in the swimming pool and when they’re tired after a busy day at ski school, the entertainment room comes into its own as a place for them to flop in front of a film.
Your chef will be happy to design special children’s menu for an early evening kids’ tea each day, so that little ones can enjoy a more relaxed meal when they don’t have to be on their best behaviour and the grown-ups can eat at leisure post-bedtime (and they need not be on their best behaviour either!).
The chalet is in a great area for family skiing, with excellent nursery slopes at Nasserein and lots of beginners’ runs at Gampen.
Nannies and babysitters are available on request.
