If you’re on the hunt for a self-catered family ski holiday in an extra-magical location, call off the search. Chalet Lorne, just outside Morzine, is a brand new luxury ski chalet in a peaceful, wooded location.
And the resort staff will ensure you will want for nothing while you’re here. You’ll arrive to a welcome pack, filled with delicious treats and useful essentials.
The property is spread over three floors, so there’s space for everyone both to gather together in the living spaces or find a quiet corner to themselves whenever they want. The five beautiful bedrooms are all super-comfy, decked out with Egyptian cottons and White Company bath products, so you can create your own little sanctuary in your bedroom and spa-style en-suite.
The living room has two separate areas – one for TV and one purely for lounging and entertaining – so that everyone can do their own thing. The dining room has a stunning view of the forest through floor-to-ceiling windows, which you can enjoy over dinner. If you want to get more up close and personal to nature, step out onto the sunny balcony to take your morning coffee, or plunge into the hot tub with a glass of bubbly as the sun sets.
There’s also a cinema room, where you and your fellow guests can relax in front of an afternoon matinee after a hard morning’s skiing.
Morzine itself is easily accessed with a free shuttle bus stop just a few minutes’ walk from the chalet’s front door. You can also add an in-resort driver service if you wish so you can be whisked wherever you want at a moment’s notice. And – more importantly – whisked back to your beautiful chalet in the woods at a moment’s notice, too.
Chalet Lorne is situated just outside Morzine on the way to Montriond. It’s one of a small group of new chalets in a peaceful, wooded location, overlooking the Parc Des Dereches. There is a free shuttle bus that will drop you at the Ardent lift in one direction and the centre of Morzine in the other.
Geneva Airport is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes drive.

This luxury ski chalet in Morzine is a great choice for families. Four of the five bedrooms can be configured as twins, giving you maximum flexibility, and the property is set just a little way out of the town in a quiet location. Morzine itself is a popular choice with families because of its excellent ski schools and wide range of runs for different abilities.
There are two living room areas, one a TV lounge and the other, adjacent, a more grown-up space, so you can keep one eye on the kids as they watch TV, while you catch up with the rest of your group in the other lounge area. There’s also a fabulous cinema room where they might like to go for an afternoon matinee while you enjoy the hot tub, or just a well-earned afternoon nap before dinner.
Games consoles, board games and a DVD collection will ensure children are never bored here.
