Chalet Mathilda is a timeless refuge situated in the hamlet of les Fermes de Val. This idyllic retreat homes up to 12 guests and is designed to feel like a home away from home. The high ceilings give a feeling of grandeur, complimented by the rich dark purple and golden tones smattered tastefully throughout the space. From the décor to the materials and the equipment, everything has been designed to strike a delicate balance of the art of living and modernity.
You’ll arrive to a warm welcome in the generous living space. Like many traditional alpine escapes, the home is coated in beautiful wood detailing and centred by a homely fireplace. Your chalet manager will even prepare your firewood, so that all you have to do is relax and enjoy it. Each of the six bedrooms has a private bathroom – total bliss. Spending time together is easy in the chalet’s top of the range facilities, like the fully equipped, spacious kitchen area or the private spa. Not to mention the gorgeous terrace to retreat to during sunny mornings and afternoons. Every little detail here has been considered to make your stay with friends and family the ultimate experience.
Whilst you’re out on the slopes, the chalet team will be busy readying the spa for your arrival so when you arrive after a long day, you can sink into the comfort of your own private wellness retreat straight away. Between moments of relaxation in the heated swimming pool or Hammam, tea time with a view of the peaks and unforgettable evenings by the fireplace, life at Chalet Mathilda will seduce you.
Chalet Mathilda is known for its incredible hospitality touches. With both a chalet manager and in-resort concierge service at your disposal for your entire stay, no ask is too big. Leave all the little details to your team. They’ll organise testing and delivery of your ski equipment and ensure the daily housekeeping times work with your schedule, so you’re never disturbed. The team will even ensure you have snacks for you to take on your big day out – a perfect (and helpful) touch for those with kids. With its close proximity to both the slopes and the heart of the resort, you can truly live to the rhythm of the mountain here.
Chalet Mathilda is just minutes’ walk from both the centre of town and the slope hub of Val d’Isere. This means whatever you fancy doing, is likely right on your doorstep.
If taken on a catered service, an in-resort driver service will be at your disposal for the entirety of your stay.
The nearest airport is Chambery which is just under 2 hour’s drive away. Geneva and Lyon are both approximately 3 hours’ drive away.
