You’ll be hard-pressed to find a warmer welcome than the one you’ll enjoy at Montana. As you approach this luxury ski chalet in Courchevel 1850, you’ll get a glimpse of its gingerbread house good looks through trees and catch yourself really hoping that this is the chalet that’s your home for the holiday.
Inside, rustic woods and rough-hewn stone bring natural charm to the well-appointed property. Before you explore, take that glass of bubbly from your host’s hand, sit down in one of the vast, squashy chairs, and enjoy the roaring fire and welcoming living space. Everything has been finished to the high standards you’d expect, but quirky touches such as oversized floor lamps and handpainted frescoes give the chalet a ‘real’ and welcoming feel. Off the living space a cosy snug provides a bolthole to escape to with a book, and a south-facing balcony offers a wonderful outdoor space in which you can catch a bit of winter sunshine and enjoy the spectacular view.
With the Bellecote piste seconds from your front door, you don’t waste a moment skiing. Yet, there’s plenty to drag you back to the chalet each afternoon, from the cosy TV snug or dedicated cinema room to the wellness area with an indoor Jacuzzi and steam room. We can’t think of many better ways to pass an afternoon.
At the end of each packed day, retreat to the cosy and comfy en-suite bedrooms, where you’ll find piles of fluffy towels and robes as well as deep pillows and duvets you can lose yourself in.
Chalet Montana is enviably located close to the Bellecote Piste, (almost ski-in/ski-out) meaning you can be on the slopes within seconds.
It’s only a short drive down to the centre of Courchevel 1850 your in-resort driver will be available each morning to whisk you down to the main lifts if you like as well as back up to your luxury ski chalet in the afternoons.
The nearest airport is Chambery, approximately 1 hour 30 minutes drive, whilst Grenoble and Lyon airports are approximately 2 hours 10 minutes and Geneva airport is 2 hours 20 minutes drive away. Moutiers rail station is also just 30 minutes’ drive.
There is also an altiport in Courchevel 1850 for those travelling by helicopter or private jet.
