It’s a struggle finding words to describe the sheer opulence of Chalet Ormello, but we will give it a try. Managed by the five star Les Airelles hotel, this freestanding luxury ski chalet is a self-contained universe of luxury and sophistication, set in the most exclusive corner of Courchevel 1850.
Take a deep breath of the rarified atmosphere of Chalet Ormello as you sink into the deep-cushioned sofa in front of the huge fireplace. From the butler serving your champagne to the security manager keeping you safe, the service is second to none. Perhaps it’s a gathering of friends, or perhaps it’s a group of several different families you’ve assembled. One thing is certain – this will be an unforgettable experience.
Tread carefully on the beautiful Persian rugs, and the classical works of art; run your fingers along the weathered wood panels and plush upholstery. The stately home atmosphere of Chalet Ormello is intoxicating. And best of all is the location – just a few steps from the Bellecote piste, yet close to the heart of Courchevel 1850. Whether you ski to the door, or make use of your private chauffeur, getting around is a cinch.
Within the 1,000 square metres of Chalet Ormello you will find every luxury imaginable. From the wellness area with its state of the art gym and counter-current pool, to the shadowy opulence of the cinema room and private bar. And in the unlikely event that you tire of your surroundings, all the facilities of the nearby Les Airelles hotel are also at your disposal. Here you can dine in the Michelin starred restaurant, take a spin on the private ice rink and book pampering treatments at the hotel spa.
It’s not just a playground for adults though, because Chalet Ormello has a fantastic children’s playroom, packed with toys and games for kids of all ages. Just make sure that you savour every moment here, because it will come to an end all too soon.
Chalet Ormello is right beside the Bellecote piste in Courchevel 1850, accessed via a few steps across the road.
The centre of Courchevel is just a couple of minutes walk away, though you’ll have access to a complimentary in-resort shuttle service which runs for 24 hours a day.
The nearest airports are Geneva; just over 2 hours away, whilst Lyon is a 1h 40-minute drive. There is also an altiport in Courchevel for those travelling by helicopter or private jet.

During your stay at Chalet Ormello, your private chef will ensure that every guest enjoys a gourmet dining experience. With up to fifteen people in your party, you may find that some like to eat at different times, or have a different menu. As well as the main dining area, the chalet has smaller dining spaces and kitchenettes for flexibility.
Every day the chef prepares a range of breakfast treats to set you up for the day, delicious afternoon teas, and evening meals according to your instructions. Fabulous feasts, simple suppers or fragrant oriental dishes can be served for all or just a few of your group. After all, there may be nights when you venture out to dine at one of Courchevel’s many celebrated restaurants. Children’s suppers can be served earlier than the main evening meal, so your little ones don’t have to wait around, tired and hungry.
You can discuss menus in advance with your chef and it really is a case of ‘whatever you want’. The dedicated team of experienced and talented kitchen staff creates the kind of mouth-watering dishes that you expect to find in first class restaurants, using the finest locally sourced ingredients. And of course, there are numerous fine wines to choose from, and a fully stocked bar to keep the party going strong.
Please note that all food and drink will be charged for separately, allowing the chef to tailor menus to your exact requirements.
