Chalet Shalimar is a luxury ski chalet in Zermatt sleeping up to 20 people across 10 bedrooms, making it perfect for large or corporate groups.
Alpine wood has been used to furnish the interior of the chalet and create a modern but traditional feel. The living area on the upper floor has floor to ceiling windows making the most of stunning views of the Matterhorn. With plenty of living space for all the group to spread out, all guests are sure to find their own little piece of R&R.
Wellbeing is top of the billing here, so after an energetic morning on the slopes, you can relax and recharge in the chalet’s private spa area with an indoor swimming pool, sauna and Hammam. For further pampering, massage therapists can be arranged on request to soothe away any aches and pains.
Situated in the Winkelmatten area, the centre of Zermatt is approximately 15 minutes walk away or a short ride in an electric taxi. In good snow conditions, advanced skiers can ski to the chalet and the gondola nearby takes you up to the Glacier Paradise.
Service is the focus at Chalet Shalimar with a private chef on hand to create mouthwatering menus to suit the requirements of your group, daily housekeeping to keep the chalet looking only its best and your chalet hosts will be only too happy to assist with any arrangements you may have during your stay, be it lunches up the mountain or non-ski activities.
Chalet Shalimar can also be split into the separate apartments, Chalet Alex and Chalet Elena, each of which offers its own living area and facilities with shared use of the spa area.
Chalet Shalimar is nestled in the exclusive Winklematten area of Zermatt. In good snow conditions, it is possible to ski back to the chalet down the Moosweg ski-run and through the meadow.
The centre of Zermatt itself is only 15 minutes’ walk away or just a couple of minutes in an electric taxi. The nearest Klein Matterhorn Express is approximately 10 minutes walk.
Zermatt is a car-free resort which has a railway station, so guests often arrive by train. The nearest airport is Geneva, which is approximately 3 hours away.

Each mornings, a hearty continental breakfast is served to prepare you for an energetic day’s skiing.
Enjoy Champagne and canapés five evenings a week before dinner – the perfect time to enjoy the open fire and catch up with your friends and family on all the day’s action on the slopes.
Dinner is always a four-course treat – unless you would prefer a lighter option – cooked using local ingredients wherever possible, and served alongside wines chosen by a team of sommeliers. Beer, a complimentary drinks tray with two bottles of spirits, and soft drinks are also available.
For little ones, your chef will be happy to prepare an earlier children’s tea at a time to suit them.
Please note that the staff have two days off a week when dinner and canapés will not be served but your host will be delighted to make recommendations or bookings for local restaurants.
