Ski-in/ski-out
A luxury ski chalet, but not as you know it. Tuftra Findelbach is a bit of a one off. Yes, it has the traditional wooden interiors with vaulted ceilings and the roaring fire ready to welcome you back from your skiing day, but those woods bring a pared-back minimalist feel, the ceilings open up the light and airy rooms into modern cathedral style spaces and the fire is a super-modern 360-degree Swiss fire cube.
This new chalet is as contemporary as it is stylish and is the perfect bolthole for a large group of friends or family wanting to enjoy all that Zermatt has to offer. Situated in sought-after Winkelmatten, Zermatt’s only ski-in/ski-out area, you can catch a bus from outside the front door straight to the ski lift or choose to walk 100m over the road and then ski through the meadow to the ski lift. And when your skiing day is done, you can ski back to the door of this luxury ski chalet via the Mooseweg run.
Fortunately, after all that skiing, there are plenty of spaces in which to relax and soothe any aches and pains from the piste back at Tuftra Findelbach. As well as the outdoor Jacuzzi, there’s also a sauna, steam room, gym, massage room and an Onsen (a Japanese hot spring). You’ll feel like a whole new person after a couple of hours enjoying the spa area.
There’s acres of living space, meaning there’s room for everyone to gather together and also find a little peace and quiet, too. The main lounge area, with its contemporary fire and capacious sofas has simply stunning views of the Matterhorn through the floor-to-ceiling windows. You could sit and stare out at it all day long. There’s also a separate TV room, where you can enjoy an afternoon movie, an office space, and a second lounge area.
On evenings when you’re being looked after by your talented private chef, you’ll gather around the solid oak dining table while he cooks up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen nearby. Food is a priority here so you can expect to spend long, enjoyable dinners around that table, which twinkles with soft lighting in the evenings.
With staff always on hand to attend to your every need, a stay here at Tuftra Findelbach is as relaxing and rejuvenating as it is snowy and stylish.
Chalet Tuftra Findelbach is located in the sought-after Winkelmatten area with some fantastic restaurants, bars, children’s play areas and shops.
With ski-in/ski-out access (in good snow conditions), guests can ski through the meadow from the chalet to the Klein Matterhorn Express and ski back to the door of the chalet down the Moosweg ski-run.
There is also a ski-bus from outside the door to the ski lift or walk 100 metres and ski down through the meadow to the ski-lift. The village centre is 4mins in an electro taxi or a 15mins walk.

Good food is one of the cornerstones of any stay at Tuftra Findelbach. Your private chef will be in touch, even before you take off, to talk to you about your menus and ensure everyone’s wishes and needs are taken into account when designing the dishes.
When you wake each morning, tea or coffee is brought to you in bed (how’s that for service?) and you’ll then enjoy a delicious and wholesome breakfast to set you up for a day on the slopes.
When you return from the snow, kick off your boots and stick them on the boot dryers, before making your way upstairs for a warming afternoon tea.
On five evenings, your chef will prepare beautiful canapés and aperitifs for you to enjoy around the fire while a gourmet evening meal is prepared. Your chef will happily prepare meals for younger palates if you have children in your party and an earlier children’s tea can be arranged if they prefer not to eat with the grown-ups.
On your chef’s evenings off, the chalet’s staff will be pleased to book tables at any of Zermatt’s restaurants for you.

Younger snow bunnies will love this luxury family friendly ski chalet in Zermatt. Situated in Winkelmatten, there are children’s play areas nearby for them to burn off energy (if they’ve got any energy left after ski school).
The chalet has a dedicated kids’ bunk room, which they will love hiding out in, away from the prying eyes of the grown-ups. A cosy TV room with DVD player and Playstation will also keep them busy on quiet afternoons.
Your chef will be pleased to create a dedicated children’s tea menu, meaning little ones can get to bed earlier and grown-ups can enjoy a more relaxed meal later in the evening.
Nannies and babysitters can be arranged on request.
