Secluded on the slopes of the Dolomites, surrounded by nature and with breathtaking mountain views, Chalet Vilaiet is a remarkable retreat. With a focus on wellness and relaxation and a tranquil edge-of-the-slopes red-run setting, it’s far removed from a bustling ski resort holiday. This exceptional new catered chalet comes with an expert seal of approval, too – it’s run by world champion skier Isolde Kostner.
The highlights begin before you’ve even stepped inside. In the gardens, the glass-fronted infinity-style swimming pool invites you to take a dip in it’s warm waters. If you can drag yourself away from the swimming pool, enter the chalet to be greeted with an architecturally striking interior, where the loving attention given to every refined detail is clear to see.
The open-plan living area is modern, atmospheric and charming, with a nature-inspired green-and-wood palette, a vaulted ceiling and large windows that showcase the unobstructed mountain views. On the ground floor, three sumptuous bedrooms all have a stylish en-suite bathroom or shower room and direct access to the garden.
You’ll find the ultimate in indoor relaxation at the spacious subterranean wellness area. Unwind in the Finnish sauna or steam bath, let a therapist soothe away any aches in the private massage room, take an invigorating aquamoon waterfall shower or snow shower, or for those maintaining their fitness levels, make use of the gym corner with it’s Technogym treadmill and a multifunctional bench. Then sit and chill out, snuggled up on the relax island or head upstairs for a movie on the big screen with projector and surround sound, with a glass of fizz from the chalet’s Champagne cellar. For a luxury ski holiday in the Dolomites, it doesn’t get much better.
Chalet Vilaiet is secluded on the edge of the slopes, close to the alpine village of Ortisei in Val Gardena and in the middle of nature parks that are part of the UNESCO world heritage. The chalet is close to the piste for ski-in/ski-out access (50 meters) – it is on a red run and is best suited for experienced skiers.
The nearest airport is Innsbruck, approximately 1hour 40mins away.
