Occupying a wonderful spot, high above Chatel, Chalet Whymper is a great base from which to enjoy everything this luxury ski resort has to offer.
The design of the property really makes the most of the stunning location, with huge windows to frame the stunning mountain views, wraparound balconies complete with outdoor living and dining spaces – and even a swing – as well as a hot tub and barrel sauna with bubble window so you can enjoy the mountain from every angle.
The stylish interiors are a mix of modern rustic charm and sleek, contemporary good looks. Chunky woods and natural materials combine beautifully with chrome and glass and modern art. The living areas merge seamlessly into each other, from the laid-back lounge and TV area, to the airy dining space, to the uber-modern kitchen with coffee bar and all the gadgets you could need.
There are lots of break-out areas, too, including a bar and a well-equipped games room decked out with huge bean bags and relaxed seating. For anyone in need of a little peace and time to themselves, each of the five main bedrooms has been designed to be a little bolthole of its own, with stacks of cushions and throws and en-suite bathrooms for a little pampering before bedtime.
Flexible services such as the ‘contactless’ catering and shuttle bus allow you to decide exactly how you spend your time here, and give you total privacy, too, in your fairytale chalet on the mountain.
Perched high up above Chatel, with panoramic views, Chalet Whymper is a luxury ski chalet that’s perfectly placed for all your needs.
The nearest lift is a stone’s throw away at Petit Chatel, from where you have the whole of the Portes du Soleil at your disposal. A shuttle bus leaves from just outside the chalet (approximately 50m away) to take you to the centre of Chatel or to the Linga and Pre-la-Joux ski areas.
The nearest airport is Geneva, 1.5 hours away.

Then a chef will prepare your evening meals for you off site, delivering delicious dinners that you just warm through. For special occasions, the staff can also arrange traditional Savoyard specialities, such as raclette and fondue. All delivered to your door.
The chalet team will be in touch with you prior to your arrival to discuss menus.
