At the heart of this fabulous chalet is the open-plan living and dining space, where a contemporary seating area with boxy sofas and armchairs and a sleek, chic dining space are separated by a statement fireplace, where you can warm yourself after an afternoon on the slopes. The space is ideal for entertaining, with its panoramic views of the valley outside, or just gathering with the rest of your party to catch up at the end of the day.
There are also plenty of places in which to hide away and enjoy a bit of peace and quiet, from the TV room to the luxury bedrooms that double as cosy boltholes upstairs. And if you feel in need of some proper rest and relaxation, just spend an afternoon in the private spa, complete with swimming pool, gym, sauna and Hammam and emerge feeling like a completely new person.
All the important details that make your stay just a bit lovelier are considered, too. There’s a well-equipped boot room with boot warmers, and an equally well-stocked wine cellar which you might like to peruse before dinner to pick out a bottle or two.
Perhaps the surprise in this luxury ski chalet, though, is the fabulous outdoor space. Wraparound balconies provide a private terrace off some of the bedrooms, then there’s an outdoor living area, alfresco dining space and even an outdoor snug, all tucked in under the roof of Chalet X on the balconies. In the evenings, we doubt you’ll find a better spot from which to enjoy your digestifs than the outdoor hot tub, with its wonderful views and fresh mountain air.
Location
Chalet X is located in L’Ele, between Morzine and Montriond, on the Route de Haute Moriond which zig zags its way out of the town.
The property is a 15 minute walk from the suspension bridge and access to Morzine’s lifts and the centre of town. But with an in-resort driver service at your disposal, they can whisk you down to the lifts and back up to your luxury ski chalet in the afternoons.
The nearest airport is Geneva, approx. 1hr 20mins drive.

Dining
You can rely on being well catered for at Chalet X, from your first caffeine hit of the day – brought to you at your bedside – to the last nightcap of the evening, out on the balcony. A private chef is allocated to you for your stay, who will ensure you are always well fed.
Each morning, a selection of cooked breakfast options as well as continental buffet are available downstairs to get your day off to a good start. When you return from the snow in the afternoons, hot drinks and freshly baked treats are laid out ready for you. Then there’s just enough time to relax and slip into something glamorous before the evening begins.
On five nights of the week, your chef will prepare a delicious, gastronomic feast for you, beginning with champagne and canapés, followed by a three-course meal with carefully selected wines to accompany each course, and finishing with a local cheeseboard and port.
Pre-dinner champagne, spirits, cocktails and house wines are available, as well as soft drinks and bottled water. The chalet’s cellar has a selection of fine wines available for an additional fee.
On the chef’s days off, Morzine has a wealth of wonderful eateries to choose from or alternatively, a Raclette evening can be arranged for you at an additional cost. Your chalet host will be more than happy to make recommendations and bookings.

Kids
Children are very welcome at Chalet X. The property’s bedrooms are very flexible, so are ideally suited to large family groups. One of the bedrooms is a quad bunk room which would sleep four children. Bedroom 4 can also accommodate two additional children in the mezzanine sleeping area with 2 single beds.
There’s plenty of space to play here and kids of all ages will love the private indoor swimming pool, where they can splash for an hour or two after ski school.
To ensure those all-important schedules are maintained, your chef will prepare early children’s dinners. Afterwards, they can snuggle under a blanket to watch their favourite films and cartoons in the separate TV room.
Cots and highchairs can be provided for smaller guests and childcare can be arranged on request.
