Chalet Zermatt Peak is what the term ‘wow factor’ was invented for. Every detail impresses and the interior design is one of the slickest in the Alps. No expense has been spared to create something really special.
The experience starts at the entrance, tunnelled into the rock, reminiscent of an ultra-cool Bond villain’s lair. Even the ski room has stylish ambient lighting and a surround sound TV system. Up the lift to the vast open plan living /dining room and you are met with jaw-dropping views over Zermatt to the Matterhorn through the floor-to-ceiling windows which open onto a spacious terrace.
The furnishings and finishing touches throughout the Chalet Zermatt Peak are superb, with walnut floors, Brazilian stone and Italian Marble, and Murano crystal chandeliers together with state-of-the-art technology.
The über-cool glass-walled wellness area is spectacular and the centrepiece is the indoor/outdoor Jacuzzi pool. Relax in the Finnish (dry) or Swedish (wet) sauna and steam room or work out in the gym before letting the expert masseuse soothe those tired muscles.
And as you would expect of a chalet of this standard, the service is also exceptional. Nothing is too much trouble for the team of professional staff.
Chalet Zermatt Peak is set into the mountain in an elevated position giving commanding views over Zermatt, yet is just a couple of minutes walk from the village centre. To reach the chalet there are a number of deep steps due to its position on the mountain as well as a private tunnel walkway to the entrance.
The chalet’s taxi service remains at your disposal to shuttle you to and from the slopes which takes approximately 5 minutes and in and around the resort.
Zermatt is a car-free resort which has a railway station, so guests often arrive by train.
Geneva Airport is approximately 3 hours drive away.
