Overflowing with charm and beauty, this beguiling luxury villa in Majorca offers a taste of the good life. With its stunning stone exterior, arched doorway and shuttered white windows, Finca es Rafal will have you “oohing” and “ahhhing” the moment you set eyes on it.
This serene property takes all the classic elements of a traditional finca and brings them bang up to date for modern living. You’ll begin with a guided tour of the gardens, which are as dreamy as they come. Stroll down the scented lavender-lined walkway, past towering cypresses and rosemary bushes, and you’ll soon realise that this is a place that feeds the soul.
The space is sustainable and productive, too: Finca es Rafal is a working farm, producing almonds, carob, olives and medicinal-grade honey on site. You’ll get to sample its own olive oil during your stay, pick from the vegetable patches and taste the sweet home-grown fruits, all as adorable Shetland ponies, sheep and hens (for fresh eggs) roam around.
Inside Finca es Rafal, Majorca, you’ll find a family home-from-home. The living space is stylish and bright, with country-style furniture and beamed ceilings adding warmth. A large dining area, orangery, playroom and two TV rooms mean there’s more than enough room for everyone to spread out and make themselves comfortable.
Bedrooms (complete with air-conditioning for summer and underfloor heating for those cooler winter months) are light and airy spaces, each one decked out in a Mediterranean décor and featuring its own en-suite bathroom or shower room.
You could happily spend a week without leaving the grounds, playing tennis-with a-view on the hard court, picking strawberries together, splashing around in the private swimming pool and relaxing with a glass of bubbles in the warm waters of the outdoor hot tub at Finca Es Rafal, Majorca.
Finca es Rafal sits surrounded by olive groves and mountains in the Tramuntana area of central Majorca, just a five-minute walk from the picturesque village of Alaro. An abundance of outdoor activities lie on your doorstep, from hiking and climbing to cycling.
Transfers from Palma airport take approximately 25 minutes.

Top-quality food is a staple part of the experience here. The owners know the importance of leisurely mealtimes with family and friends, and during your stay they generously give you access to organic eggs, medicinal-grade honey, fresh rosemary, home-grown olive oil and all the fruit and veg you like from their abundant kitchen garden.
You’re spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding where to dine. Start the day with eggs and coffee at the breakfast table just beyond the kitchen, before moving around to the shaded terrace.
Lunch can be taken by the swimming pool overlooking the mountains, as a barbecue under the pergola, or picnic-style in the vegetable garden. At night, the simple outdoor kitchen is a magical spot for an evening meal, festooned with fairy lights and Moroccan oil lamps, while the forest garden offers a more intimate dining location by the fountain.
Inside the finca, the large country kitchen and family dining area are the hub of this home-from-home, and the orangery provides a further lovely dining space.

If you have outdoorsy children, they’ll be thrilled to stay on this working farm, where they can get stuck in feeding the sheep and taking the Shetland ponies for a walk. Go strawberry picking together, cut herbs from the herb garden and relish the chance to let them enjoy eating what they’ve helped to gather.
The swimming pool is sure to be a hit with all the family, and pool fences can be applied for extra security. You can play games of tennis on the modern hard court and shoot some hoops in the basketball net, and there’s also a trampoline, football net and e-bikes.
For entertaining the children indoors, you’ll find a playroom and two further TV rooms, so kids can enjoy their own space.
