An experienced private chef whips up gourmet meals in the kitchen, the housekeepers tidy up after the night before, and the concierge can arrange almost anything you desire. Ski passes, equipment hire and restaurant bookings are all sorted – you don’t have to leave the sofa.

To descend from your mountain nest into Zermatt, just walk across to the private lift of the Omnia hotel which takes you down through the rock to the centre of the resort.
