As you drive down the private road towards the Hidden Dragon its secluded setting and rustic charm could persuade you that it is a traditional luxury alpine chalet.
Step through the door, however, and you will soon realise that this stunning, inspirational chalet is anything but conventional. Within its walls, ancient feng shui principles fuse harmoniously with contemporary design and rare antiques to create a truly unique ambience.
Alongside the modern elegance and Eastern promise reverberates a cosy, casual vibe that encourages guests to relax and feel completely at home.
There are numerous communal areas that are perfect for spending special times with family and friends. The living room, for example, is fitted with a bespoke copper fireplace that adds warmth and atmosphere to any gathering, while the chic Hidden Dragon dining room offers a beautiful setting for evening meals.
And after a day on the slopes, Hidden Dragon’s ski-in/ski-out “Gents-Club” style ski-room, furnished with vintage leather chairs and a well-stocked après-ski bar, is sure to be a welcome pit stop.
Don’t linger too long, though, or you will have no time to pamper yourself with a visit to the chalet’s outdoor hot tub, hammam or sauna, or to let a masseur or beautician soothe your aching limbs or preen you to perfection.
For those in search of a bit of me time, the uninterrupted views over the Rhone Valley provide a beautiful backdrop to the Jardin d’hiver.
Alternatively, why not curl up with a good book in the glass mezzanine library that overlooks the living room, or marvel at the stars from the hot tub after dark?
Film buffs meanwhile, there is a private cinema room to spend leisurely afternoons in.

“If conventional Swiss ski chalet experiences – think pinewood and ‘Rosti’ potatoes – have lost their lustre, then look no further. Hidden Dragon is an ultra luxury den of Zen in the dynamic and extensive 4 Vallees ski domain in Switzerland, twenty minutes drive from the private airport at Sion…” – Selections Magazine
”It’s one for true escapists, serious skiers and serious money. Built according to feng-shui and Shinto-Buddhist principles, the secluded, high-luxury lodge is accessed by a private road and set in extensive forested grounds, with idyllic, uninterrupted views. Alpine living does not get much more refined than this”. – Harper’s Bazaar.
”Is this the most tranquil ski chalet in the Alps? It certainly is a contender, with its soothing, feng shui-inspired design and secluded location above the hamlet of Veysonnaz in Switzerland’s vast 4 Vallées ski region. To offset all this blissful serenity, the lodge is now organising a seven-day James Bond-themed ski trip, which involves downhill chases and heli-lifts to untouched peaks”. Killian Fox, The National.
