Built in the style of a traditional Ferretcapian cabin yet with a high-spec Franco-Mexican design, Le Coeur du Ferret makes the most of its coast-and-countryside location and is big on time outdoors. The artsy courtyard swimming pool is a deserved focal point, but follow the grassy garden paths and you’ll discover a sunken lounge, swaying hammock, outdoor sauna and a few surprises nestled under the towering palm trees. Guests of this exclusive hideaway also have use of a private amphitheatre with decked seating and a cinema screen for outdoor movie nights. In the daytime, the deck doubles up as a tranquil spot for yoga.
Inside this luxury Cap Ferret villa, the airy lounge has plenty of space for everyone to sink into the plush sofas, while the tasteful colour-pop kitchen invites guests to gather for pre-dinner nibbles and drinks. Each bedroom has its own palette and style, ranging from reinvigorating burnt orange to soothing forest green. Hidden at the corner of the garden, a garden suite is ideal for couples seeking a little extra peace and privacy.
For exploring the area on four wheels, you’ll have use of ‘Kate’ – the villa’s mini electric car – during your stay, while excursions on a traditional wooden boat can introduce you to life on the water.
Location
Le Coeur du Ferret is located on the tip of the Cap Ferret peninsula, offering the best of coast and countryside. It’s just a short walk from Mimbeau beach and some of Cap Ferret’s top restaurants and bars.
The villa is around an hour’s drive from Bordeaux airport. Alternatively, catch the three-hour train from Paris to Arcachon and hop on a taxi boat for 15 minutes.
