The mas offers a true outdoor living experience. The gardens have been thoughtfully designed to blend with the surrounding landscape and you have views of the Alpilles from every corner of the outside spaces. The gardens are completely enclosed and include a lovely swimming pool and a typically French pétanque court – just add a glass of pastis and some friends! The dining pergola opens out from the kitchen, making al fresco meals easy and giving you a beautiful, covered and lit backdrop for memorable meals. But there are also several outdoor seating areas to enjoy for cocktails, coffees or just curling up with a book.

If the outdoors is all about the Provencal sunshine, the interior of this beautiful villa is all about the shade. Cool, stone walls, natural wood beams and tiled floors, all in calming neutrals, are just the tonic on warm days. In the first wing, an elegant living room with fireplace for chillier evenings and modern sofas and footstools create a beautiful backdrop for lounging, while modern art on the walls provides a talking point.

There’s a well-equipped kitchen and stylish dining room, both welcome additions whether you are catering for your party or letting a chef do the work for you.

A second wing houses all the bedrooms; each with their own private bathroom, two with a Hammam. All of them are stocked with luxury bath products and cool linens to make each bedroom a real retreat.

Location

This luxury villa in Provence is just a five-minute walk from the centre of Eygalières with its array of restaurants and cafes and its vibrant Friday market. There are trails for hiking and cycling nearby and plenty of sightseeing within easy reach in towns such as Marseilles, Aix, St Remy and Baux.

The nearest airport is Marseille Provence, 45 minutes away, and private jets can land at Avignon, Aix-en-Provence and Nîmes. The nearest railway station is the TGV at Avignon.

Gourmands will be in foodie heaven in this villa in the heart of Provence, where good food and fine wines are to be found around every corner, from market stalls to shaded cafes and restaurants.

A delicious breakfast is provided each morning, to get your day off to the best start, then you are free to explore the area’s eateries or spend days out at market selecting local and seasonal ingredients with which to experiment. The spacious open-plan kitchen is at the heart of this property and is a wonderful space to cook in. There’s also a butler’s pantry and wine cellar to use.

Nearby is a contemporary dining area in which to eat and chat with friends and family over long lunches and dinners on cooler evenings. But you’re sure to want to make the most of the covered and illuminated outdoor dining area, with gas and charcoal barbecues.

Kids

Children will feel most welcome at this luxury family-friendly villa in Provence. The property is set in its own grounds, with plenty of space to run and play in the sunshine as well as plenty of shade to be found under the pergolas.

Kids will likely spend most of their days splashing in the swimming pool, or having a game of pétanque, but there’s lots to keep them busy, from renting bikes and using the nearby tennis club to boat trips and horse riding.

At the end of each fun-filled day, children will love retiring to the four-berth kids’ bunk room, where each individual cabin-style bunk offers a bit of privacy in which to cosy up for the night.
