Ski-in/ski-out
Fabulously cosy and super-snowy, this luxury ski-in/ski out chalet in Courchevel 1850 ticks all the right boxes. Lord of Snow is perched right on the edge of the Bellecote piste, so your skiing day starts the second you step out of the front door.
As well as being the perfect choice for snow bunnies, it’s also a wonderful escape for those who love style and a lot of home comforts, too. Little luxuries such as underfloor heating and built-in sound system soothe your senses (and warm your feet, too). A colourful, contemporary palette of colours and Alpine styling create a warm welcome at Lord of Snow, and nowhere more so than in the open-plan living spaces at the very top of the building.
The double-height seating areas with vaulted ceilings are flooded with light by day through the glass doors that open out onto the balconies. Two seating areas allow everyone to relax in comfort while catching up with friends and in the middle of it all is a statement electric steam fireplace.
Nearby is an intimate dining space with comfortable upholstered chairs designed to encourage you to linger over gourmet meals and fine wines each evening. The sleek and modern kitchen has a sociable breakfast bar area where you can perch with a glass of wine and watch your private chef at work.
If rest and relaxation is top of your agenda, you’ll find it in spades here. An entire floor dedicated to spa experiences offers a large, heated swimming pool, lit by twinkling lights, as well as aHammam, sauna and Jacuzzi, where you can soothe away any aches and pains. Stylists and masseurs can be arranged to visit you in the treatment rooms to work their magic, too. And if a day on Courchevel’s slopes isn’t enough to wear you out there’s also a top-of-the-range fitness suite.
This luxury ski chalet has been carefully designed to cater for all your needs, and while it’s only a 10-minute walk into the bright lights of Courchevel and all its bars, cafes and restaurants, Lord of Snow has everything you could need under one roof. On snowy afternoons, cosy up in the home cinema room with a movie, snuggled on the capacious sofas, with Mongolian goat skin throws to keep you extra warm. Next door is a games room with a beautiful billiards table where you can relax with drinks and friends over a few games. And then there’s a wine lounge and bar, in which wine-tasting experiences can be arranged in the evenings.
