The Lodge, Verbier is not your average ski chalet. It’s Sir Richard Branson’s personal mountain hideaway and as you’d expect, it’s rather special.
Let’s start with the location. It’s tucked away down a quiet road but just a stones throw from the main Medran cable car up the mountain, and only about a ten minute walk from the restaurants, bars and boutiques of Verbier. Although, this being The Lodge, you can expect an in-resort driver service at your beck and call. Snow permitting, advanced skiers can ski back down the mountain directly to the chalet at the end of the day.
The Lodge itself has a cool and contemporary interior design with subdued tones and splashes of colour. You’ll find a spacious living space which includes an open plan kitchen area so you can see the culinary-maestros at work.
Everything has been thought of and perfected at The Lodge, with meticulous attention to detail that would shame some of the world’s finest hotels. Although the chalet has the look of a slick boutique hotel, the atmosphere is intimate and relaxed, giving a home-from-home feel.
In terms of facilities, there is little that The Lodge, Verbier does not have. You’ll find an indoor swimming pool, steam room, spa treatment room, indoor and outdoor Jacuzzis, gym, party room, games room…the list goes on.
The Lodge is tucked away in a quiet area of Verbier but a mere 250 metres from the Medran lift station, the main cable car to go up the mountain. Place Centrale in the centre of Verbier is approximately 10-15 minutes walk.
In good snow conditions, it is possible for advanced skiers to ski off-piste back to The Lodge.
The nearest airport is Geneva which is approximately 2 hour’s drive, alternatively the regional airport of Sion is located just 45 minutes away and is ideal if arriving by private jet.

“Luxury resorts are Richard Branson’s forte and his latest venture, The Lodge, is one of his finest. Despite the perfect location – not far from the bars and restaurants and in close proximity to the main ski lifts – there is really no need to venture out of the luxury that it offers.”
Condé Nast Traveller
“It’s so luxurious that people are booking to go back in the summer.”
Vogue
“With its own mini ice-rink, 12-person hot tub, heated pool, party area complete with disco ball, cinema and games room, Richard Branson’s latest property is a playground of cool wood interiors and earthy tones.”
