Perched high on a hill, early birds at Villa Bell’Aria will find a blanket of mist suspended below this luxury villa as far as the eye can see, truly giving the elusion that this countryside retreat is a little bit of heaven in Umbria. Surrounded by forests and olive groves which appear as the mist gives way to bright sunny days, this private home with an English manor house charm blended with rustic Umbrian style is the perfect choice for a secluded sojourn.
The property is made up of three distinct parts, the north side, south side and the garden house, and sits within 1.35 hectares of stunning grounds, meaning members of even the largest of families or group of friends can find their own little space to retreat to for a bit of peace and quiet. Yet with an abundance of indoor and outdoor areas, the number of places to dine, drink and spend quality time together seem endless.
As inviting though the interior is, we think this property’s real magic is in its outdoor spaces. An infinity swimming pool gives way to far-reaching hill views, and with a pool house nearby with fridge and music system, you can swim away the day to your own soundtrack. Those searching for shade will find solace under the rose loggia and vine covered dining area, or if you wake with a spring in your step, practice your backhand on the private tennis court. However, we know relaxation is often the order of the day on holiday, and with swings and hammocks dotted all around the gardens, there’s always somewhere for a sit down or a siesta while you wander through the paths and lawned areas. Time spent outdoors doesn’t have to end as the evening draws in. With a sunset spot dedicated to sundowners and a cosy alfresco sitting room with outdoor fireplace, evenings offer the chance to come together to reminisce on the day.
This luxury villa has been designed and decorated with the utmost care and attention with a palette of neutral colours creating a relaxing backdrop in every room. Handsome armchairs sit alongside grand fireplaces inviting you to curl up in them with the papers, and chic free standing bath tubs are perfect for bubbles and a book. Whether you’re holed up in the library and snug for some quiet time or are socialising with friends in the fabulous kitchen, complete with bread oven, island and all the latest gadgetry you’ll find a space that’s just what you’re looking for.
The layout of this luxury villa, with its separate annexe and distinct parts to the building makes it a great choice for several families to share, giving everyone lots of space to themselves and the flexibility to use as few or as many of the estate’s facilities as you wish. For those with young travellers in tow, there will be no qualms at bedtime as children love the quad bunk room complete drawback curtains, creating a den for everyone.
Villa Bell’Aria is set within the exclusive Castello di Reschio estate, which spans 3,750 acres at the Tuscan/Umbrian border, so there are always staff on hand to cater to your every whim and also activities for every taste should you wish to take advantage of them, from horse riding to mountain biking.
