Blue sky days take on a new meaning at Villa du Couvent, a luxury four-bedroom villa tucked away in pretty gardens, yet just a short drive from Bonifacio’s thriving marina, medieval citadel and beautiful white-sand beaches.
The garden here is a real suntrap. Enclosed by stone walls and mature trees, you’ll enjoy total privacy whether you’re taking a dip in the swimming pool, lazing poolside on a lounger on the sleek wooden terrace or curling up with a drink or two by the pool house.
Inside, the modern interior is a refreshing alternative to the island’s traditional offerings. The main living space is flooded with natural light, with canary-yellow bubble sofas, statement pendant lighting and contemporary artworks that add a playful high-end feel. Take meals out on the terrace for views over the verdant valley towards the marina. One bedroom is located on the main floor, with three further rooms down at garden level. The plush beach towels, robes and slippers are a welcome touch.
