Despite being just a stone’s throw from the sea, you’ll feel as though you’re in the heart of the countryside at La Piccola. Surrounded by verdant olive groves and sweeping farmland, your traditional stone villa is a little luxury oasis amidst the unspoilt, Puglian landscape.
The old farmhouse has been lovingly restored to its former glory, and then some, with elegant furnishings that bring a splash of Italian glamour to the place. Original features, such as the exposed stone archways and beautiful tiled floors, have been preserved and the new décor is subtle and stylish so as not to overpower the building’s impressive history. The living room and kitchen dining room are linked via double doors, which creates one big, airy space that is perfect for socialising.
Head outside, through the pretty shuttered blue doors and you’ll find a wraparound terrace which is covered on one side to house a lovely al fresco dining area – complete with fuchsia flowers crawling the pergola columns. From there, the expansive lawn stretches out towards the sea and the Pettolecchia Il Lido beach club, which you’ll have access to during your stay.
To the side of the villa, a large, heated swimming pool is surrounded by a patio with sun loungers, umbrellas and even a well-equipped bar and wood-fired pizza oven perfect for all your tastebud’s needs.
Just a short walk from the Pettolecchia Il Lido beach club, La Piccola is the perfect base for beach bums.
The pretty coastal resort of Savelletri is just a five-minute drive away, while the more popular towns of Monopoli and Ostuni are both less than half an hour’s drive. Here you’ll find a huge range of shops, restaurants, and bars, as well as plenty of Italian charm.
The nearest airport, in Brindisi, is a 35-minute drive, while Bari airport is just under an hour away.

The fully equipped kitchen is a lovely space to cook in, and with the fruitful Puglian countryside surrounding you, you won’t be short of delicious local ingredients. Choose to dine in the farmhouse kitchen, or out on the terrace where you can enjoy the sea views. Don’t forget the pizza oven out by the pool too – the perfect lunch spot.
If you’d prefer to let someone else do the cooking, your concierge will organise for a private chef to come in and cater, and there are also lots of wonderful restaurants in Monopoli and Ostuni too, if you’d like to dine out with the locals.

With acres of gardens to explore, plus a heated swimming pool to dive into, little ones will be in their element here.
The nearby beach club is another sure-fire winner with kids and getting there can be half of the fun too, thanks to the villa’s complimentary bicycles. Hop on and meander down the villa’s private path to reach the sandy shores in no time.
In the evenings, let the kids get involved in making their own pizzas at the wood-fired pizza oven, or help them master the art of the perfect mocktail at the pool bar. When they tire, the bedrooms and lounge all have TVs for an hour of chill time before bed.
