Villa Litica, Hvar

Villa Litica is a luxury villa in Croatia which truly offers the best of everything. It’s part of the exclusive Maslina Resort on the beautiful island of Hvar, meaning guests of the villa benefit from all the resort’s wonderful facilities, too.

As well as Maslina’s communal infinity swimming pool and family swimming pool with sea views, guests can also take advantage of the beautiful spa, which includes fitness space, beauty treatment room, and an aqua thermal area with Turkish Hammam, Finnish sauna, aromatherapy steam bath and cold plunge. There’s a boardroom, library and gallery for the use of guests, as well as a kids’ club – The Playroom – and even an organic beach garden, which acts as a private space for sunbathing as well as providing the spa and restaurant with organic plants and botanicals to use. Guests of Villa Litica usually eat in The Restaurant, on site, and also have use of the lounge Bar, the Club and the A.Bay Beach Bar. Maslina really does offer all you could need, and a little piece of paradise to boot.

However, should you prefer your own company and plenty of privacy, the villa itself gives you a beautiful bolthole away from the world. Your own private heated swimming pool looks out to the Adriatic, and is surrounded by comfortable loungers where you can lose hours with a book in the sunshine. Wraparound terraces provide outdoor spaces for living, dining and just sitting and taking in the magnificent views.

Inside, Villa Litica has been beautifully designed in a modern, neutral scheme creating a relaxed, calming atmosphere. The dining space sits just inside the floor-to-ceiling windows, which fold right back, offering panoramic sea views and a warm breeze drifting in off the sea. Nearby is a large but cosy lounge space with linen sofas and occasional chairs, where you can relax in the cool at the hottest points of the day. A neat and well-appointed kitchen with top-of-the-range appliances is adjacent, and a bar area makes this a sociable space for cooking, eating and gathering with family or friends.

In the evenings, retire to cool, airy bedrooms. Each of the four rooms has its own bathroom with double stone basins and walk-in shower and two have large bath tubs for soaking in at the end of the day. Once you climb between the luxe cotton sheets and into the super-comfy beds each night, it won’t be long before you drift off to sleep, listening to the sound of waves just outside your window.

Children will be enchanted by Villa Litica’s island location and its close proximity to the sea and Maslinica Beach, a small pebble beach.  The villa’s private swimming pool, with its sea views and outdoor shower, will keep them busy for hours on sunny afternoons and there’s plenty of outdoor space for them to run around in.

As well as the private, heated swimming pool, as guests of the Maslina resort, you’ll have access to the communal family swimming pool which has a wonderful sun deck that kids love.

Younger children will love using the kids’ club, The Playroom, a dedicated play space for kids with water play, a climbing wall, and stacks of toys, where children can enjoy arts and crafts, music, dance and lots more activities, all supervised by kind and highly qualified assistants.

An extra bed for children up to 12 years old can be arranged for an additional charge. Nannies and babysitters can be arranged on request.
