Dramatic vistas don’t get more impressive than this. Perched up on a cliff top at Praia de Salema, this luxury Algarve villa looks straight out along the coastline and over the ocean, offering views you’ll never tire of gazing at.
Decorated in neutral shades with hits of cool, coastal blues, the outdoors has truly been brought inside here. The light and airy living room offers a cool and shady spot to sit and enjoy the view on hot days and if you should get a cooler evening, you can light the fire, put a film on the flatscreen TV and get cosy.
A contemporary dining space comfortably seats eight people, and makes a lovely backdrop for any meal. Nearby, doors open out onto the terraces where there is an outdoor dining area, too. Sit in the cool breeze and look out over the water as you enjoy good foods and fine wines with friends – because everything tastes better by the sea.
The terraces really are the jewel in the crown of this property. Virtually every room has access to its own bit of terrace and it’s just magical to step out and look at the sea the moment you get out of bed. The terraces also accommodate an outdoor living and dining area and a beautiful infinity swimming pool, that appears to spill straight into the ocean, and is surrounded by loungers.
Each of the cool, calming bedrooms offers crisp white linens and doors to the terrace so you can listen to the waves as you drift off to sleep. There’s nothing like the sound of the sea to relax you at bedtime and to remind you of all the adventures to come when you wake in the morning.
This beachfront villa in the Algarve has wonderful sea views and is only 600 metres from both the beach and the centre of Salema.
For those who fancy some outdoor rest and relaxation or a bit of pampering, the health club and spa with golf course and tennis courts is 2.5km away at Santo Antonio. If you want to explore further afield, Lagos is just 20km away and Faro 105km.

You’ll have all you need until you can get out and start sampling some of the area’s gastronomic treats and bringing them home.
The villa has a huge and well-equipped open-plan kitchen with side-by-side fridge for you to fill with local and seasonal treats, induction hob, microwave, oven, toaster and the all-important coffee maker.
There are both indoor and outdoor dining areas so you can make the most of the weather and simply bring things indoors if you get a passing shower, and a portable Big Green Egg barbecue allows you to enjoy eating alfresco whenever you can.
You’re sure to want to eat out, too, and there are lots of lovely eateries to try in Salema. We always enjoy an evening at A Boia seafood restaurant or at Em Lume Brando, which serves traditional Algarve cuisine with a contemporary twist.

Children are very welcome at this luxury family villa, but it is worth noting that crawling babies, curious toddlers and younger children will need supervision around the pool and on the terraces. That said, they’ll love playing in the impressive infinity pool, which looks straight out to the ocean.
In the evenings, fire up the BBQ and see their faces light up, sitting outside as the sky darkens, enjoying meals under the stars.
