Miami meets Mykonos on the clifftops overlooking Elia Beach, where you’ll find chic Greek living at Villa Melia. Space, style and sea views are the name of the game here, and everywhere you move there is an abundance of all three.
The large garden and pool area feels especially grand, with invisible glass fencing the only thing standing between you and the horizon. The infinity swimming pool is surrounded by sun loungers for those who want to catch some rays, but there are also plenty of shady spots under the enormous wooden pergola which connects the villa to the garden.
Wander past the al fresco kitchen-dining area and two separate outdoor living areas and you’ll find yourself – almost without noticing – inside the villa. With the bifold doors open, the transition from outside to in is so seamless that it’s only the wooden floors which notify you of your entrance. Once you are in, enjoy the open-plan layout of the living spaces – which include a lounge, dining room and modern kitchen.
Throughout the villa’s living spaces the décor is uber stylish; with soft neutral tones and exposed natural materials used to create a chic seaside feel. The same can be said for its three bedrooms. These all enjoy sea views and unique, characterful features that remind you of your coastal setting – the master bedroom even has a hot tub on it’s terrace.
Set just next door to the villa are two studios where you’ll find the equally gorgeous fourth and fifth bedrooms. Both feature kitchenettes and private patio spaces for enjoying a peaceful morning coffee.
Villa Melia is perched on the clifftops above Mykonos’ popular Elia Beach, in the south of the island.
There are a handful of restaurants within walking distance of the villa and Mykonos Town can be reached in around a 15-minute drive – where you’ll find many more bars and restaurants. There are several beach clubs in the area, all reached in under a 15-minute drive too.
The nearest airport is Mykonos International Airport, which is around a 20-minute drive from the villa.

Dining with a view doesn’t come better than at Villa Melia. Sitting at the huge stone table under the pergola, with panoramic sea views to one side and your very own al fresco bar and kitchen to the other, you might just feel like you’ve died and gone to heaven. And if that doesn’t quite do it for you, sipping a cocktail under the stars from the comfort of one of the many outdoor sofas surely will.
When it comes to the actual cooking, you’re all set with both a state of the art indoor kitchen and a rustic outdoor kitchen and barbeque. Take your pick depending on the heat of the day and the group dynamic. Those staying in the studios could even enjoy breakfast without seeing another soul, thanks to their private kitchenettes and patios.
For those days where shopping and cooking all seems too much, simply head out for a meal instead. There are a handful of charming local restaurants nearby and many more in Mykonos Town.

Kids of all ages will love Villa Melia. After all, with an infinity pool, hot tub and epic sea views, even grumpy teenagers will have to admit they are impressed. Show them the state of the art outdoor sound system and lounge room projector and you’ll soon be hailed as the coolest parents in Mykonos.
Younger kids will also love the pool, and the glass fence means you won’t have to worry about sheer drops either. So relax, work on your tan and let them splash till they crash.
In the evenings, settle down to family dinners together and then make the most of the multiple lounge areas to disperse into little groups. Kids snoozing on the sofas, teenagers playing games in the garden and parents tucking into the wine while admiring the views. Bliss.
