Let us paint a picture for you. Clouds of lavender, cicadas in the olive trees, a sea of vines, and Medieval hilltop villages. Yes, Villa Mimosa is true Gallic country living, and in luxurious style and comfort. This rustic stone cottage sits within the grounds of a five star hotel in the Luberon, a picturesque corner of Provence.
Let your dedicated housekeeper take care of this beautiful converted stone house whilst you relax with a glass of something fruity in the shady arbour. This idyllic escape may once have housed simple country folk, but it’s now a first class villa with a host of modern comforts. Spend lazy days beside the heated outdoor swimming pool, basking in the Provencal sunshine. Relax and read a book amongst the ancient beams, four poster beds and vintage chic décor of Villa Mimosa.
Sitting on the outskirts of the beautiful village of Ménerbes, Villa Mimosa is totally self-contained. And yet it is just a short walk to the first class facilities and charms of the hotel. Perhaps you might make use of the hotel’s restaurant and bar, savouring gourmet cuisine under the stars on the terrace, then follow a little path through the vines, through the fragrant night air back to your cottage.
Alternatively, you might order chef-prepared dishes to be brought to your private dining table, like room service but better. Whatever your plans, you really should indulge in a massage or beauty treatment at the luxurious hotel spa. Suitably relaxed, you might like to explore the local villages and markets, hire bikes, go kayaking or take part in a cookery lesson. Your concierge service is on hand to make all your arrangements, leaving you free to just switch off.
Villa Mimosa really is a treat for the senses. Surrounded by a fusion of French country chic and vintage treasures, you will be inspired to re-decorate once you get home. The scent of Mediterranean flowers and wild herbs will linger in your memories, as will the earthy flavours of the regional wine, produced from the expanse of vineyards all around.
Villa Mimosa is in the grounds of a 5 star hotel, near the village of Ménerbes. It lies in the Luberon National Park in the South of France, and the nearest airports are Avignon, 40 minutes away and Marseille Provence, which is a 1 hour drive away.

The kitchen at Villa Mimosa looks very charming and traditional, with a large cooking range taking pride of place, but the facilities are totally up to date. If you wish to look after yourselves, it’s easy to buy ingredients from the local shops in Menerbes and the regional food markets. And when you want to eat out, you can just wander over to the excellent restaurant of the 5 star hotel.
Breakfast and an afternoon snack is included in the rental cost of this villa, so you don’t even have to venture out every morning in search of fresh croissants from the boulangerie. All your breakfast treats and freshly brewed coffee await you when you wake up, served by your friendly yet discrete housekeeper.
You can order meals to be delivered to Villa Mimosa, straight from the hotel kitchen, if you prefer to have a ‘restaurant at home’ experience. You can also learn the secrets of Provencal cuisine in cookery classes led by the Head Chef. Here you can master the art of regional specialities such as stuffed courgette flowers and chilled tomato soup.

Children have plenty of nooks and crannies to explore at Villa Mimosa. The outdoor heated swimming pool where they can splash away for hours, will provide plenty of fun and the villa is equipped with Wifi so that older children can stay online. However, the open stone staircase might make this property unsuitable for toddlers and babies.
The Luberon National Park is a great place for sports activities such as horse riding, and hiking, and you can even hire electric bikes to explore the region’s network of cycle paths. If kayaking along the Luberon river sounds like good family fun, you can take guided excursions from Aix-en-Provence.
