Cleverly conceived and charmingly executed, this luxury villa in Tuscany is a real treat. Villa Oddi is the latest of the old buildings on the exclusive Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco estate to be renovated and the care and thought with which it was done is evident.
In the sophisticated living and dining areas, the vaulted brick ceiling and traditional Tuscan fireplace take centre stage, setting a tone of rustic sophistication for the whole property. A state-of-the-art TV room means you can all gather together for a film night, and gives children a space to escape to while the adults enjoy evening drinks and canapés, perhaps.
Each of the en-suite bedrooms is perfectly designed to ensure maximum relaxation. Some have four-posters, others doors out onto the terrace, but all are decked out in luxury linens, with high ceilings and a cool, airy feel. You’re sure to be asleep the moment your head hits the pillow.
Guests of Villa Oddi are well catered for in the villa’s grounds, with a private tennis court and a simply stunning outdoor heated pool, with views of Val d’Orcia. If you fancy a little pampering, you have your own outdoor jacuzzi, or for a day of indulgence the estate’s spa with sauna and steam room are only a stroll away. For a local outing why not arrange a tour and tasting at the estate winery, which is definitely worth a visit.
A wood-burning oven outdoors and pergola that hosts an outdoor dining area mean you can enjoy as many meals outdoors as you wish, from delicious Italian cuisine to tasty wood-fired pizzas. Life here is simple and luxurious in equal measure. Relax and enjoy!
This luxury villa with private swimming pool is set on the a 5,000-acre estate of Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco. Immersed in the UNESCO-listed Val d’ Orcia Natural Park, just outside Siena, the estate is also home to a private golf course, a leading Brunello di Montalcino winery and nature reserve, as well as a dense forest with deer, pheasants and wild boar.
The nearest airports are Florence, which is 1 hour 45 minutes away, and Pisa which is approximately a 2 hour 15 minute drive away. Private transfers to and from the hotel by helicopter or car can be arranged from the airports or main cities.

The estate on which the luxury villa is situated is home to two wonderful eating spots, Ristorante Campo de Drago, which serves traditional Tuscan cuisine alongside the estate’s own wines. The interiors are neutral and contemporary, and if you eat outside on the terrace you’ll enjoy a wonderful view of the hills and woodland below. Then there is the more casual trattoria, Osteria La Canonica, ideal for a light lunch or a pizza in the evening. Both benefit from ingredients picked from the estate’s own kitchen garden and a rustic, local menu.
There is also a delivery service to your villa if you prefer, which includes a kids’ menu.
If you want to take a flavour of your holiday home with you, you can even take part in cookery classes at the estate’s cookery school and learn how to make everything from Tuscan favourites to fresh pasta.
