And when you feel like venturing a little further, it couldn’t be easier. The villa has private access to the beach just below and a stash of paddle boards and sea kayaks for you to take with you. Additionally, guests of the villa benefit from being able to use the beach, fitness centre and dine at the nearby Eden Rock Hotel.

Back in the comfort of your villa, though, all is reassuringly well designed. The contemporary scheme in bright whites and rich dark woods is brightened by the jewel colours of the tropical flower arrangements used throughout. Modern furniture, from the leather seating in the living space to the glossy dining table, sets a laid-back but stylish tone.

Each of the luxury bedrooms has a generously sized bed, some of which are four-poster, as well as stunning en-suite bathrooms with Grohe fittings and rainhead showers.

Location

This luxury villa in St Barth’s is perched on the edge of a private stretch of beach at the Eastern edge of Lorient Bay.

Several major airlines have regular international flights to the neighbouring island of St Martin and local companies have connecting flights to St Barth’s Gustave III Airport, which is just a short drive from the villa. There are also charter speedboats and daily ferries from St Martin to St Barth’s.

Eating

Continental breakfast is served each morning. The villa has a sheltered outdoor dining room and a barbecue so you can enjoy laid-back alfresco meals.

Guests of Villa Phoenix are able to dine at the nearby Eden Rock Hotel, which includes the Sand Bar, a relaxed but cosmopolitan eatery where you can eat breakfast, lunch or dinner right on the beach with a panoramic ocean view and your feet in the sand.

The hotel can also assist with the booking of a chef if you prefer to eat in the privacy of your villa. Food will be charged for separately at the end of your stay. The chef can arrange anything from customised picnics out on the boat to catering for a special event such as a birthday.
