Traditional style meets contemporary convenience in this luxury villa in Majorca. Villa Sa Llupia is a pretty, stone building set in the quaint village of Deià, with beautiful views out to sea and over the tiled roofs of the village.
As you approach, you’ll appreciate the building’s rustic good looks: its stone walls, terracotta roof and wooden shutters. Step inside, and you enter a calming and serene space where it’s all about rest and relaxation. Whitewashed walls and cool, tiled floors in the living spaces create an airy retreat from the heat of the day, particularly in the four restful bedrooms.
In the living room, comfy sofas sit beneath vaulted, beamed ceilings, while works of art and bespoke furniture bring charm and character to the neutrally themed space. On the other side of the villa is a sophisticated dining room, with teak table and designer lighting bringing atmosphere to every dinner party. Just beyond the doors is the outdoor dining space on the covered terrace, perfect for al fresco barbecues and sundowners.
The outdoor spaces have been given lots of care and thought here: the swimming pool, with jets for you to swim against, is set in a pretty terrace with wooden loungers surrounding it and enough umbrellas to give everyone a little shade whenever they need it. The scent of citrus trees wafts across the swimming pool on the breeze and the views out over the village and to the hills beyond are picture perfect.
If you can drag yourself away from your idyllic bolthole, the pretty streets of Deià and its shops, bars and galleries are just waiting to be explored. The Belmond La Residencia Hotel is just steps away, offering spa, tennis courts and a restaurant. And there are endless adventures to be had on the hiking trails and beaches nearby.
