An amazing location demands an amazing interior to go with it and Zermatt Lodge does not disappoint. This beautifully designed penthouse apartment has bags of style and acres of space.
The focal point of the apartment is a quirky suspended fireplace, with wood surround and cow hide stools around it – a fab place to warm up over afternoon tea following your day on the slopes.
A neutral palette lets the natural beauty of the aged wood floors and lovely light wood rafters really sing. Two incredibly comfy seating areas offer spots to relax and chat or for the kids to watch a film.
The dining room is a spacious and sociable open-plan area, where you’ll be happy to linger for hours over dinner, all cooked by your top chef in the professionally equipped kitchen.
To soothe aching muscles and restore the soul, the lodge boasts its own sauna for you and your party to relax in. And if some me-time is what you’re after, each of the bedrooms is a little haven in its own right – crisp white bedlinen, a TV and DVD player in every room and a spa-style ensuite where you can pamper yourself. If you win the arm wrestle, go for the master suite with its own bath tub perched in front of the little stove – incredibly cosy!
From the balcony terraces, where there is an outdoor hot tub, you’ll be treated to a stunning view of Zermatt’s rooftops and, of course, the Matterhorn itself.
Zermatt Lodge is located close to the resort centre and rail station, approximately 5 minute walk away, whilst the Sunnegga Express lift station is a 4 minute walk.
Located on the top floor, there is a lift which whisks you up from the ground floor to entrance of this luxury ski chalet.
Zermatt is a car-free resort which has a railway station, so guests often arrive by train.
Geneva Airport is approximately 3 hours drive away.
